First I would like to say that despite being excessively priced, the food was good and this was agreed by the other 4 people I was with.
The problem was the one member of staff. He was taller and older than the other staff and seemed to take a lot of phone calls whilst making coffee.
I ordered the food and drinks with the man at the till and I specified I wanted two coffees and two pots of tea. The man pointed out that we were a group of 5 and yet there were only 4 drinks. I told him clearly that one pot was to share between two people and the other was for one person. He didn't seem to have any further queries on this so I didn't feel the need to specify further.
The additional pot of tea did not arrive and when I asked about it, the older gentleman made a rather unclear point about the size of the teapots but said it's sorted so I incorrectly made the assumption it was en route.
When the tea didn't show up with the food, I politely asked the waitress on where the pot of tea was.
That's when the older man said I have already had it and that I need to pay for an additional tea.
I calmly explained to him my order and he was very rude and condescending in explaining to me that one pot of tea is actually smaller than the one I received (again proving the point about pricing as it was over £2.00!) As he had combined two pots to make the one big pot I had received.
At no point was did anyone tell me this would be the case when I made the order so the confusion on my part was understandable.
My point is that even if the error had been completely mine. I did not like being spoken to in such a way, It made me feel embarrassed as it had caused a bit of a scene, especially when I had tried to settle things politely and as someone who dislikes confrontation, I felt very tense as I felt that eyes were now on me as I was trying to eat
Also I did not appreciate that when I did leave quietly and quickly, the same guy shouted "thank you mate" and then again louder when I didn't acknowledge him the first time. I am not usually so rude but I do not give the time of day to people who...
Read moreThis was one of the worst breakfasts I have had. We spent almost £50 here. The small breakfast only has bacon egg and toast which is limited but we knew when ordering however when it arrived we weren't given cutlery, the bottom of the egg was burnt and the bacon was hard, so was the toast - because of this my brother knocked his plate on the floor trying to cut his bacon. This was handled great by the young man with the tattoos but from the older gentleman we received a look of disgust and an eye roll. The large breakfast had a much better variety of options but the sausage was hard and didn't taste great, the beans were cold and the toast was once again hard! The service was horrendous specifically from the older man and the tanned woman with mousy hair. From the very start we felt in the way and even asking for cutlery felt like we were being a nuisance. My grandad was given the wrong toast and his request for sauce was ignored. As previously mentioned the only person who we received a nice service from was the young brown haired man with the tattoos but overall a very uncomfortable environment as the older gentleman was rude to staff...
Read moreWonderful café in Cromer Town centre, with vegan and vegetarian options 😀, which was so hard to come by, as everywhere else seemed to only do seafood or where there was a vegan option it was falafel, which isn't my cup of tea. The staff were very friendly and gave good service. Even though it was extremely busy, we were still served within 25 minutes of ordering. The food is good quality with something for everyone, chips, sausages, burgers, sandwiches, paninis, baguettes, salads, cakes, coffees, teas and milkshakes and the toilet was clean. Nice seating outdoors, with 2 inside areas, although very loud with coffee machines inside and the traffic outside, but quiet in the back room. Would 100% recommend as an extremely fussy vegetarian with a sensory...
