Used to regularly use the Tyneside club on our annual weekend pilgrimages to Sheringham between about 2010 to 2018 Called in yesterday during a day trip to the seaside. Again, a truly wonderful experience! Megan behind the bar made my wife and I really, really, welcome and couldn't do enough to sort out my taste for a golden real ale and a cuppa for the missus. We felt truly appreciated. The ale was in excellent condition and at £3-50 a pint is about half the price you would pay in some of the better known Sheringham hostelries. The whole club was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. It now also has an extensive array of outdoor tables with umbrellas where one can sit, sup, and watch the world go by gazing across at the steam railway . Was in Sheringham yesterday and overheard a very interesting conversation from a larger lady that worked here and was also a 'committee member' here, talking very loudly. She was very annoyed by all of the tourists here that were bringing all the germs and diseases into Sheringham that kept walking into the club who weren't members, so she just told them all to "bog off".... the charming lady then walked off into town with her Sunflower lanyard on and into the shops with no facemask on....Oh the irony! this did...
Read moreWent on a Saturday night it was really busy. Tables were all full. Live music was ok and there is a place to dance. It is a members only club and an older age bracket there. They serve food and cold drinks spirits and pop. We stayed until it closed and it never really died down. With the membership you get cheaper drinks than at the other pubs in Sheringham as well. Cab company was right next door too if you need that. Parking was free across the street as we got there later...
