Fantastic and tasty. Visted after a walk on the beach with my 2 year old and my parents. The smell as we passed attracted us and the food did not disappoint. I had jacket potato with chilli, lovely fluffy jacket, the chilli was home made and delicious, full of flavour and not too spicy (came with sour cream, salad and home made coleslaw). My mum had a toasted sandwich with goats cheese and other bits (I can't remember!) The bread looked amazing and she got it with a salad and potato side, she really enjoyed it (wouldn't share). My Dad had garlic mushrooms and toast, he ate the lot and really enjoyed it, said it had a hint of lemon which lifted it (again wouldn't share but it smelt amazing). My daughter, who woke up just as we were finishing, was offered a drink straight away got a piece of chocolate and orange brownie (to take away) and finished it all on the walk back to the car. I managed a tiny nibble and will be back for more as it was delicious. Beautiful and clean, the toilet is wonderful but the staff were absolutely amazing. So attentive, we got sand on the table as we sat down from our hats/gloves/scarves and were wiping it off and the waitress came straight over to ask if she could clean the table. The gentleman behind the counter was so friendly when we went in with our huge cumbersome pushchair, nothing was too much trouble. Oh and the cappuccino's were perfect. All 3 of us adults said so. Arrived at the perfect drinking temperature and were delicious. Such a hidden gem.

Delighted to be able to dine here on their opening weekend. I'm a coeliac and have been dying for an eatery that can confidently cater to my needs... My wait is over! Brilliant food and the best fry up I've had in ages, really fresh ingredients and a decent portion size. My wife had the vegan option and she loved it. Quality menu, can't wait to come back to try more of it. Thanks all, hope your opening day was a success for you. Oh, also. The cakes are just bonkers good.

We went for the smile trail and found this cafe, I had never heard of it so we tried it. You are supposed to book but we were lucky and got a table. We went for a matcha smoothie and hot chocolate and a fish finger sani. It was really good and very fillng. The staff are all really friendly and it is beautifully decorated. We did wait a while for our food but its due to it being busy and as the food is freshly prepared.

Me and my partner came for a breakfast on Sunday morning as we have been wanting to try for a really long time, safe to say we will not be coming back as of right now.

We ordered a full english , bacon and brie ciabatta to go with a smoothie and pineapple juice. We were told to sit outside as there wasn’t any tables available indoors which was fine with us as it is covered outside and we didn’t mind. We did however mind as the table we sat on was filthy, it had dirty coffee cups on from previous people that were left on our table during our whole stay.

When we placed the order we were not told there was a wait on food however our breakfast took 45 minutes to arrive, i asked for my bacon to be crispy in my ciabatta however it was the fattiest bacon i have been served, i left most of the bacon and age the brie instead which there wasn’t much of. The onions on the ciabatta were slimy yet also almost raw.

The full english which cost £13.50 yet it came with one bit of sausage and one bit of bacon, the homemade beans were like tinned tomato’s with a few baked beans in which took up most of the plate with excess water.

If we hadn’t of 45 minutes then i would have sent it back but i had an appointment to get to so we had to eat what we could and leave, in saying that aswell if we had been told there was a 45 minute wait on food we would have come back another day to try.

I understand sometimes unexpected busy days happen however half of the tables were reserved for after the time we even left we did not think it would take that long and when the staff had brought food and drinks over to us being able to see our table was dirty with previous customers mess on just wasn’t acceptable.

Overall it was a real shame as it was a bit more pricey for us and was a real treat and as working in the industry myself i again understand that things happen but i’ve never felt the need to write a review but unfortunately we just felt so let down as we really wanted to love it.

In saying that the staff were bubbly and i was served on the till by Emily ( apologies think i’ve spelt that wrong) who was full of smiles and very kind. Hopefully can try again maybe for lunchtime menu and see if we enjoy that as we do really want to love the place as it’s local to us and seems like a...

Sadly a very disapointing visit. We were regulars at the previous location and this was our first visit to the new location at the golf course. The whole experience was chaotic. Took us a while to find our reserved table and then hunt down some menus. Had to wait 10 minutes in the queue just to get to the bar to order.

Ordered food and coffee and a soft drink. Coffee took 20 minutes to arrive and only when dropped this off did they realise we hadn’t had soft drink either - this took another 5-10 minutes to arrive. Food took another half an hour to arrive and we informed waiter we were missing a side dish. This side never arrived.

Staff constantly walking around with food not knowing where is was for and twice we were offered food that was not ours. We could hear the radio from the kitchen shouting that food was ready which didn’t make for good background noise.

Asked twice for the side and eventually as we had then finished our food asked for a refund. We were told we had to get in the queue to get this - cue another 10 minute wait to be refunded.

Staff looked incredibly frazzled and manager in tears at one point which we felt really bad about but was uncomfortable to see. There was a steady stream of people going up to complain about missing item, wrong bills and wrong food so this seemed to be going wrong all over.

Really disapointing as the food which did arrive was good but new atmosphere and service was shocking. Really didn’t seem to fit at the golf course as it totally changes the vibe and atmosphere. We miss the old Meet Me...
