There are bakeries where you simply buy bread, and then there are bakeries like this oneâwhere every visit feels like stepping into a warm kitchen full of friends. Got an almond croissant (amazing), lemon & cardamom pastry (really good) and a rhubarb & almond cake (looked good but bit like a thick plain cake with a bit of rhubarb/almond on top)
I also got a latte which tasted good, but the cup was really really small, and I was charged ÂŁ3.80 for it when the menu on the wall said ÂŁ3.40. For the same price you can get better coffee in a larger size from many places in the area.

   Read moreThe best sourdough bread I have ever eaten, I got the seeded one this time and it is amazing. The crust is so tasty and crispy and the inside is so soft and speckled with poppyseeds. Also had a few variations of the chocolate torte and it is sublime. Last time I got the chocolate and sea salted caramel which was amazing but this time itâs dark chocolate with a caramel nut top and I think I like this even more.
