It has been a looong time since I was in this pub, went in once and never returned, until today. The place is well decorated, the staff were great, as is normal these days, most of the walls removed creating a large L shaped room with a small beer garden at the rear. I'll have to go back to try the food..........We've have been back several times now and, the staff are still great and the chefs even better.

Lovely pub very welcoming. Great food and good prices. Located in a nice quiet part of killingworth. I ordered the hunters chicken with chips on a bed of onions. My boyfriend order the flaming chicken burger with cheesy curly fries both tasted Absolutely beautiful. Didnt have to wait to long and Staff are friendly too.

Great staff. We were looked after very well indeed and the staff were friendly, curteous and very attentive. Fantastic. Table was set out beautifly for Christmas Day and although some of the veg was slightly overcooked it did not spoil our enjoyment of a very generous and tasty meal. Thankyou to all of the staff.

This place is a joke. The attitude of the manager is AWFUL. He clearly has an issue with people skills and shouldn’t be in this line of work. The food was awful. We ordered a sizzling meal for it to be brought out on a cold plate not the sizzler plate. When I went to the bar with menu in hand to inform the manager of what happend I was greeted “we are not doing food!” not a hello can I help. I went on to my complaint, I was then shot down about my complaint with the manager saying we had no onions so “we couldn’t put it on a sizzle plate or everything would burn!” Surely this is something the staff should be telling customers when ordering food! Or at least remove it from the menu. I walked away unhappy no solution just a simple not caring. I then asked the manager over to have a look, he came over about 15 minutes later, we were spoke over and patronised and again made to feel stupid. He walked away saying he would come back to talk to us. This was clearly a lie as he never came back . He avoided our table we were left siting with glasses and plates on the table for our whole visit! I’m appalled and think this guy needs some refresher training as it’s simple not good enough!! Not worth a 1 star! We will...

We went for a family meal (2adults 2kids eating), when we asked if there was any tables free (only table we could see had a reserved sign) we were met with attitude, the reserved table was actually where the staff had just dumped things like cardboard boxes. I ordered the food which took a while as the member of staff kept seeing to other customers, I gave up trying to ask for salad on one kids burger but not the other . The kids food was meant to arrive with our starters but didn't, part of my husbands food was missing. When the plates were cleared, we waited over 30 mins for the kids ice cream which didn't arrive so I asked at the bar and was told I'm meant to tell the kitchen staff when we wanted pudding (don't think the public should be going in to the kitchen) , in the end we waited over 40 mins for ice cream, they then put music on realy loud which isn't good for my son with asd and adhd. WE...

Have frequented the Plough for some time now, mainly for food I n the early evening, use to be very good, for quality, service and food , well not any more, the staff have changed slightly, but the usuals are still there, just with an attitude problem, unless I just picked the wrong day, any way, it must have been the wrong day for the Chef as well !! Some dishes were off the menu, our food came late, with small portions, table's left uncleared for our whole visit, is when our desserts arrived WE had to move our meal plate's to another table to make space!! There were 4 of us dining, spent a few bob, and when we asked if we could get s small ramekin of sauce yes, that'll be £1, really, a squirt from s bottle a quid, no thanks, anyway the staff seemed more worried to go outside for s cigarette than anything else, won't be back, although I doubt the staff will...
