Twelve 25 — Restaurant in North Tyneside

Our family meal table for 5 was booked for 7 however we arrived early at 640 and were greeted with eyes looking at us from front of house I said I had a table booked for 5 of us for 7 and apologised for being early she said that the time was not an issue as they were closing the kitchen after us . So after the waitress pointed to the seating room we choose our own table . Ordered drinks and food starter and main and were asked to order desserts at the same time as starters and mains as again reminded us they were closing and this is at 645 . So we ordered starters mains and desserts even tho two adults were unsure if we would want a dessert. Drinks came in a rush and starters arrived . Front of house staff cleaning out the bins mopping floors no hand washing in between them brings our mains give mains to is not asking who was having what just put them on the table and again reminded us they were closing . The kitchen staff have cleared kitchen and now sat in restaurant taking off his crocs putting his shoes on . Then waitress comes over and mentions are by the way there is no waffles we ordered 2 waffles and a cheesecake so we said we’ll cancel the desserts as one person does not want to eat a dessert on Their own we felt and were very rushed and pushed to get out the restaurant. While we sat eating our mains 4 other customers wanted to sit and eat but were told kitchen was closed this was only 7pm the opening times are not addressed to by staff and are loosing this business £100s of pounds due to wanting to close the doors and leave before it states . So now 730 we ask for the bill as we felt unwanted and not welcome we stood up to leave and they say bye I had to remind them I wanted to pay so after paying we left . Stopped at 1225 for breakfast, after ordering 2 sets of pancakes and 1 plate of loaded hash browns our order came with 2 plates of hash browns. We assumed the waitress must have misunderstood we only wanted one plate, we didn’t mind so decided we would just pay for the extra plate. Once we had began to eat our food we were approached by a waitress who rudely told us we had “ate somebody else’s food”, after explaining to her we thought there had been a misunderstanding she interrupted to say “no you have took somebody else’s order”. We were asked by a separate waitress if we still required our pancakes which we did, we were then told by said waitress that again we had took somebody else’s order and told several times “no you shouldn’t have ate it as you took somebody else’s food”. I don’t get how you can take somebody else’s food when you have been served this food by the staff, we did think about mentioning the incident earlier but the customer service of some staff put us off so we thought this would cause an inconvenience. Instead of posting a review straight away I contacted the restaurant to explain what happened and received no response. I will not be returning to this restaurant and will be telling others about my experience. We were made to feel very uncomfortable and customer service is obviously not...

Service was excellent 👌 Venue was quite bougie & spotlessly clean. The food was nice enough but not as refined as you would expect for a 5 star venue ... We opted for pancakes and syrup with bacon ..and it was a little surprising to see back bacon served with breakfast pancakes .. but anyway it's just as good as streaky if not healthier anyway - but the pancakes themselves were slightly underdone .. I had the Eggs Benedict with halloumi... Again all the components to be delicious but ever so slightly not hitting the mark .. the avocado seemed like it was pureed maybe bought in & not so much on the smashed side & the hollandaise was oddly sweet even when served with the chilli flakes ..
