Me and the wife went Ashby for a walk round and popped into The Courtyard for a cuppa and a bite of something to eat. I had the BLT which to be fair you can't go wrong with but this one was rather good. The baguette was nice and fresh with a crisp outta. Bacon was perfect to. Not over done but with a crispy with each bite into to fresh lettuce and tomato. The wife had Bacon, Brie and Cranberry baguette and the baguette and bacon was just as good as mine was. The brie had been melted just enough over the bacon to give it enough warmth not to burn your mouth with the cranberry sauce. All this with a nice big pot of tea which tasted like tea and not hot water that had been shown a tea bag.    Read moreGreat food and service. I visited on Tuesday with my elderly mother. We were greeted by a lovely lady who explained they were full but would have a table if we wanted to return in 20 mins to which we did. The place was extremely busy and I watched the staff as I always do as we previously owned a busy restaurant. Credit where credit is due, she did an amazing job i hope your bosses appreciate you and how hard you work for them staff like you are very hard to find. Food was delicious and presented beautifully, we will certainly be back...
