It’s absolutely horrendous, unless you like rubbery burgers that includes chicken one too, I watched McDonald first appear in the UK prior to that it was a whimpy bar. Which was the very first burger bar ever…. One first tried whimpy yuk, second tried MacDonalds, not bad back then for a fast food outlet. Then Burger King. Which in my opinion was the best tasting of the 3. Over the years, I have seen Macdonallds go from a fast food joint, to a slow joint, seen the burger get smaller and smaller watched the prices get higher and higher for less food,… Them purely a personal point of view, I only ever have a coffee. Because it came out many years ago that MacDonalds were giving two thirds of there profit to a terrorist organisation. Were our soldiers were getting killed, Only for them to be immune from prosecution. Yet trying to convict the armed forces, now my point is if you are in the HM Forces they should be immune from prosecution. When these people join up, at that time it kicked off in 1969 when first British Soldiers were sent there, they were sent by the government of this country. But anyone who joins the military are Serving there lives, back in 1969 to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. Those that still serve now they sever for His Majesty’s King and country. Explain to me. Why our service men from yesteryear are suddenly looking at prosecution. They was not asked if they wanted to go. They were ordered to go. Now before anyone says how a few things got out of hand, I know and can assure you, it was outrageous that the organisation are exempt, especially with some things, they did. Let just say for the 2 biggest terrorist. Of those group became members of parliament, that Tony Blair said oh poor you, we will stop any prosecutions to your organisation. Well you tell that to Captain N…….ks family oh sorry we can not prosecute Mrs N……k we have given them immunity even though they put your some through a mincing machine whilst still alive, and a sports program to be interrupted because 2 British soldiers took a wrong turn, showing life on TV how those two soldiers were savagely beaten shot kicked to death can you just for one moment stop and think a family could have been watching this sporting event but being interrupted to see, there sons, brother, uncles, grandparents. Their relative being set upon by a thousands of I would nog call them people animals that’s what they were. Which animal is too good a word for them. Who just happened to have a brother there, a husband who did 13 tours, And I am asked what my meal was like at Macdonalds, really had it not actually been for my husband having asked our grandchildren were they wanted to go. I personally would not give Macdonalds who helped finance this organisation. A single penny. Yes surprisingly my husband knows Joe I feel, yet he was the one who did 13 tours of the place, but it’s true what he said through choice we would not step foot in the place, but how can you say no to a 4 and 6 year old. Why if we had said no, to then my reason why I would not eat in there, it’s bad enough having a coffee, as far as I an concerned they can get back to America...
Read moreI feel like I should write a review, I've been to this McDonald's on and off for a while. 8 times out of 10 the food I've ordered has been incorrect, most of the time I've had to wait on 20 minutes on average in one of the bays.
Today, yet again I got asked to wait in bay 3 after being handed my food order - this was because the frappe machine was 'running slow'. The person at the drive through window said that I wouldn't be waiting longer than a couple of minutes.
Well 15 minutes had past, my food was getting cold. So I decided to go into McDonald's, whilst I was waiting in the queue several people passed straight through the line, those people are delivery drivers.
They were all rude, the staff were not taking any notice of this. Anyways, once I got to the till I said the person that I've been waiting in bay 3 with my food that's now going cold waiting for the frappe.
I got told to wait and that everyone's had to wait as the machine is slow. So I waited another 10 minutes, the person at the till did not come back to me, a few more minutes past and I heard the 'manager' say that the frappe machine is broken.
I know this cannot be helped but I waited a few more minutes for the guy at the till to inform me, this did not happen, I had to queue again and ask about the frappe again and said that the food I ordered is now cold.
He told me that yes the frappe machine is broken and he said there's nothing he can do regarding the food.
I found this service to be absolutely shocking, £24 wasted, the 'manager' just walked around doing absolutely nothing, not helping out his colleagues, a clear lack of direction and communication between the manager, tills and the drive through.
Seriously please go to the McDonald's in Ashby, I've found it to be a much better service, I haven't had any missed/cold food either. I know it's further away and the cost of fuel has risen but rather a short trip to Ashby than waiting around for cold food or no food/drinks at all.
Just shocking especially as this has happened on more than one...
Read moreFirst time I've been bothered enough to write a bad review (which says a lot, given how many places I've been!).
I've been to this McDonald's multiple times, mainly drive thru. At least 3 times staff have cut me off half way through my order to tell me to go to the next window. One of their screens doesn't work, so saying "check your order" sounds painfully sarcastic.
But specifically today is why I'm writing this; I come after a long day at work, then 3 hours training for cadets, not only is the screen not working (I'm not surprised any more) but I'm sat waiting with my window open for 5 minutes while they get my food ready. To be fair, the lady staffing the window kept suggesting I should be "parked" (order bays) but no one else was listening to her.
Finally got my food, and an apology from the lady (not that she hadn't tried to help already). Park up to eat... No fries, no dippers, no bacon on my burger, and a banana instead of vanilla. Quite important, because my partner is sick when they eat/drink banana.
I go in to complain, the manager (with no name tag!), A middle aged chap with messy brown hair, apologies and gets me the right stuff. To be honest I would have preferred a refund, at least part. If I'd wanted to go inside I wouldn't have used the drive thru!
Anyway, worst McDonald's service I've ever had. I get it isn't 5* restaurant, and a certain level of bluntness or mistakes are to be expected, but this is possibly the worst McDonald's in the country.
I actually got a more accurate order when I was in France, and I don't speak French, and she didn't speak English. I'd avoid it if you have a choice, or go inside in the...
