Having always eaten at their baby sister restaurant (French village) we thought it was about time we tried this place.. I must say this particular restaurant ticks all the boxes for me. Staff are attentive, friendly and have an acute awareness of the menu that they are selling. The starters were devine... Crab meat with prawns, goats cheese, and selection of breads and tapenades. The stout wheaten bread was Out of this world!! For my main I ordered the seared lamb rump which was cooked perfectly and suitably rested so the plate wasnt swimming in juices... Every other item on my plate oozed flavour, especially the red wine jus which was so good I asked if I could take some home as a takeaway! I want to say a special thanks to probably one of the best service waitresses we have ever had. Her name was Hanna. She was helpful, polite, attentive and could not do enough for us. This young lady is worth her weight in gold.. We chatted also with another waiter Vincent, he was friendly and charming and recommended great wine which complimented our meal..we spoke to the manager on the way out to compliment the wonderful staff and chefs.

Best meal we’ve had in a long while. Fantastic, friendly service and a really great atmosphere. Really amazing value for money as the prices are very reasonable and the food delicious and good portions. We had the pork belly on a waffle topped with a fried egg (sounds strange but it just works) and the squid which comes with lovely pickled veg and a really tasty sauce. Will be back.

High quality food and large portions for good measure. There was even a few unexpected pastries thrown. Excellent all round!

I think this is a dinner rather than a lunch place. By that I mean the food is nice enough but expensive. Meals average out around £10 which I think is expensive for lunch. I had the vegetarian fry at £7.50 as other than small plates (bread and olives etc) it was the cheapest vegetarian option. I thought it was OK not great. There are definitely much nicer and cheaper veggie frys out there. The meat eaters definitely got better value...

Always been happy here before, with excellent food and service, but the standards were well below normal on my last visit - stale brioche and the salt and chilli squid (something I normally love) was flavourless. I was given a free drink as recompense, and was told they knew the bread was stale hours before...

There are plenty of other places to go on Belmont Road, and in future I...
