Honestly. If I could give this cafe a zero star I would. Called in on bank holiday st Patrick's day, 3 young babies and 5 adults for a quick lunch. The lady apologised that they were short staffed and we were happy to wait knowing two tables had become free so it wouldn't be too long before we were served. Or so we thought. Waited 20 mins for a table and then waited a further 40 mins for our lunch. A full hour after arriving we were presented with a dry baked potato with honestly a handful of dried up, hard baked beans and a minuscule side salad. I don't know how they had the neck to even serve it. The roast beef special looked like a child's portion and the fish was cremated. The salads were nice but the accompanying chips were stone cold. Another ten mins wait to get cutlery. By this stage we were all fed up and hungery. Spoke to the manager who had a full scale altercation in front of the children and a packed cafe. I was affronted. She didn't see anything wrong with the wait or the food and told us not to come back. I was flabbergasted at the sheer unprofessionalism and her vicious nature. She said that it was one of the nicest cakes that she has ever had, and in 90 years that's saying something! Everyone has commented on how lovely it is. The sponge is so light and moist, buttercream flavour lovely, jam lovely and icing soft and tasty. It really was a beautiful cake and a really good price at £33 for a 10 inch that fed lots of people.
