Was recommends Harrys for their gluten free menu. Have to say the place was as cold as the waitress who decided to give off and complain that we needed to book a table as they were busy. There was 2 tables being used and 4 customers. Apologised and said I was told it was walk in and the waitress said yeah usually it is but not this time of a year we are extremely busy. I sighted the place was empty and asked if we could book in for a meal now and she walked away. I called her back and asked again to get booked in for tonight. So she continued with her lecture about how busy they are and needing to book and sat us down at a table and handed me a card. Ordered from the gluten free menu and highlighted I was vegetarian so ordered sides Mash Potatoes, Vegetables and the onion rings. Wasn't until I got to the bottom of my meal did I realise there was bits of bacon in the vegetables. When I highlited this to the waitress she blamed the chef saying she didn't realise he put the bacon in there. I asked was this done on purpose and she just looked at me. Didn't even apologise. Can honestly say I will never be eating in Harrys again. Cold bar, cold customer service and cross contaminated food.

We had a really nice night here whilst home visiting family before Christmas. The service was great, friendly, and fun. Our table mostly had the Christmas dinners, a mix of the turkey and ham and the roast beef, one person had their burger. Everything was fantastic, nice and hot, not over cooked and well prepared. I have a personal love of the little baby sausages they serve with the Christmas dinners so I asked if I could have a few more,, they came back with a full bowl, it was so kind and definitely made me happy. Our only slightly negative complaint is it was loud in the bar area which had a more younger crowd in it. Overall great job Harry's Bar.

I was working at the front of the restaurant and the food smelt great. I went on a visit with my family on the weekend of. The food tasted better than it smelled when I was working and the dessert menu was awesome. I'll not say too much about the cheese cake.the Staff were welcoming. 💙

Oh a warm Thursday afternoon my better half and I decided to try a local Bar/Kitchen for some food. Online the review looked good but old, so was wondering what it would be like having recently only moved to the area. When you walk in you are in a Bar and an appealing bar too I must say nice wooden old time features and lots of TV’s if you want to watch some sports. Even the local bar flies where pleasant. When you walk through to the back you come to the open kitchen and then your waiter who will seat you. I can’t remember our waiters name but we had 3 different people throughout the night. We had a choice of seats which is not surprising for a Thursday night I guess. The menu is small but has a lot on it, fish looks to be a speciality. We ordered a pint of Harp and some house wine and it was as you would expect. Now the menu had chicken wings for a starter and I am a sucker for wings esp hot wings! These where butter coated wings I think was the term. I had o try them none the less. I also ordered a fillet steak medium and some garlic chips. My partner ordered the ribs with Sweet potato fries. Our wings as you can see came in those wee buckets that things come in now very nice and with a BBQ dip. As I mentioned being a hot wing fan I do like my celery with my wings and I also like the wing to come separated as usually it’s a mess trying to do it yourself. These wings however where lovely and came apart with ease. A lot nicer than the ones we had in the Balmoral! The batter was light and crisp and the BBQ sauce was a nice taste with it. A happy wing customer I would say. The mains came out quickly after and I normally like a bit of a weight if I am honest but none the less. The ribs looks great with 3 parts piled up with “slaw” and the steak was amazing. It came with onion rings and shored on top of two roast potatoes and surrounded by pepper sauce. Now I do love a good steak and this did not disappoint. Cooked exactly how I wanted and was just perfect. The sides where lovely too not too much garlic on the chips. I was unable to finish the whole lot but enjoyed it! I never got a chance to taste the ribs but they did look good. At this point we were both stuffed and really wanted to try the after eight brownie but just couldn’t fit it in and retreated to the front bar for more drinks. We noticed you can also get food here and plenty where. All in all a great time and would 100% go back! Service was great and polite. Now I think I had 3 drinks and 2 wines plus the start and two mains came to about £50 which was great value. You will see the size of the steak in the pictures I think it was 10oz. Would definitely recommend to people but book if you’re going at the weekend. They also have a stone oven for the pizzas which...

#DISAPPOINTED. Went here for a meal so disappointed, ordered hot chicken wings, which were nice and hot. my husband ordered fish cakes, 2 arrived with 1 small bit of fish in each...

main course, I ordered breaded chicken goujons with chips garlic dip £15, I received 4 medium sized deep fried goujons... they were fried too much that the breadcrumb outside had hardened and was hard to eat... I left half.. chips were nice ... I ordered gravy to help softn them... did not work...

husband had breaded fish £15.. he's was that hard that the fish itself was hard as the moisture had been sucked out of it due to the length of deep frying it... he had nothing to eat...

girl came over and took our plates away and asked for every ok .. we explained what happened.... no apology, she just took them away, brought our bill - no deductions for the bad meal or even a free drink... just very disappointed given that we liked this place......
