Sunday gone, I dropped in for some chicken to line the belly for the drive to Wexford. 3 piece meal with a gravy and slaw, soft drink, came to about £8. What a feed. Chicken perfectly moist, cooked nicely, crispy batter and steaming hot. Chips were magic too. Very generous portions also and the girl I ordered from asked me to sit and she delivered my food inside 5 minutes. I was still full reaching Wexford 3½ hours later. Lads, this is the way a fast food place should be run. Supermacs, KFC, BK, McDs, take note. Friar Tucks is miles ahead of you...

Went in this evening for a treat and got a supreme FT meal to sit in. In the chips was not one, but two hairs. The first hair I passed off as a one off but when the second appeared that’s just ridiculous. The burger, after specifying for everything including bacon came with nothing except lettuce, not even a sploge of mayo. For £23 I sure as hell won’t be back as 60% of the meal was left. Maybe consider giving your staff some hair nets as when I was walking out I checked who had them on and the only one wearing one was the girl on the till.....

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this visit was honestly a letdown. First off, they were completely out of chips — which was half the reason I came. Waited in the queue for 15 minutes with no warning, no apology, just a “we’re out.” To be told all they had was burgers. Then we decided to settle for a burger then apon the time we got are food they had shut the upstairs seating area and no tables where free. After we got served we heard the owner talk to the a women behind us and offered her the last chips without offering us first. Overall...
