Mary's Bar — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Made a booking here, asked for a booth, it may aswell have been an invisible booth once we were sat down. No one came near us to take our order, we had to ask about ordering food. Had to go up to the bar to order drinks because no one came near us again. No one came near us again to offer drinks or a dessert menu, so we went up to the bar to pay. We were asked how it was and we told them the food was nice but the service wasn’t good, the person then went on to argue with us at the bar. She then said because we asked for a specific table they couldn’t see us, which is ridiculous because they sat us down and they knew we were there. She continued arguing for some time that we were just completely shocked. Terrible experience all together, wouldn’t recommend the place in the slightest. The staff shouldn’t be in the customer...

Stopped here for dinner while staying at Ballyronan Marina. I don't like big meals so I ordered 2 starters. My husband had the meal deal for £22.95 which was a hir hit. I had the soup also and it was delicious, I ordered the breaded brue which was also delicious with a lovely cranberry sauce. The only disappointment was the brie portion size. Normally you would get 3 medium pieces of brie on the plate and at £7.25 I expected a decent size portion but was quite shocked when 2 small sized pieces arrived. Food was good, service from our waitress was good, the problem we had was being charged full price for a main that was also listed on the lunchtime specials menu. When we explained this to (what seemed like) the manager she was very rude to us, telling us that we should have specified this at the time of ordering as the same dish was on both menu's.. this seems like a problem of their making and not ours.
