Shorebird Coffee Hut — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Lovely views. That’s about it really, one coffee came out they forgot about the other one. Pancake came out and food came out 25 minutes later and it wasn’t busy and it was only 2 toasties. Coffee beans have a bitter taste. Too many kids working there needs to be at least one adult showing them all what to do and when. When the toasties did eventually come one was wrong we asked for plain ham toasted and they came with cheese and the kids are so fussy so they couldn’t even eat it. We looked forward to visiting during a day out for a wedding photoshoot, however, we found the three young staff very rude and dismissive. Food was overpriced but not bad.

Despite ordering 40 minutes before closing, as the only people in the cafe, the three staff tried to make it obvious they didn't think we were welcome by turning and staring while whispering. The Shorebird Coffee Hut is a nice spot for a coffee, tea or other hot/cold beverage. They have a good choice of lunch and snack options from toasted sandwiches, paninies & baked potatoes to scones, donuts & traybakes. They have have some breakfast choices too. It is as named, a beach hut overlooking the ocean and Rathlin Island on one side and the bowling green and tennis courts on the other.
