Of all the food options at Belfast International Airport , Sip & Stone offers the best experience. Order from your table using a qr code, the food is delivered by a cat robot, and a real person comes to check on you in case anything went wrong! There’s a bar, coffee station and bakery, and an all day menu. Come to the airport early and experience the robot cat delivery service. So niche. We wandered around to look at the other food options and fancied this place as it’s an bright and open cantina with loads of space between tables so you don’t feel like your carry on bags are in anyone’s way, and the robot never bumps into anything. The drinks menu doesn’t have prices though, so you’ll see the prices when you order online. It’s weird that there is a mention tea for Ā£3.20 and a large tea for Ā£3.50. 30p for a bit more water in a cup is a cheeky move… you don’t get a whole tea pot for the extra 30p . Would be good if drinks and proper pricing could be sorted

Was unsure of the choices to process my order. I asked an attendee close by who courteously shared the flat QR code sign T411 on top of wooden central pillar that was not obvious to me Or welcomed to go to the bar and order my coffee. Very pleasantly handled, a warm reception which immediately made me feel settled. Later we engaged as he offered to check ā€œeverything was ok for me Sir?ā€ B4 clearing away my used plate etc which was very nice šŸ‘šŸ½. This lead to a general chat about the robots etc Throughout our entire connection I couldn’t help notice how polite Mark was. Friendly warm smile that took a genuine interest in what I said. My first time dept from Belfast Intl.. Please pass on a massive Thank you !! A great start to anyone’s Customer Journey. His FOH skills were excellent! A great ambassador for your company. Despite the future Robot I really recommend never replace a Mark. First Class Guy!!

Situated in Belfast International Airport Sip & Stone looked nice and clean and busy too. Loved the Robots. 'Bella Bot' delivered our food to our table and when you press finish moves itself back to it's docking area. The problem is the food was pretty poor. I had very dry scrambled egg, clearly not seasoned with smoked salmon which looked so dry it looked like it had been in an airing cupboard for a week, the toast was the cheapest slice imaginable and unbuttered so dry also!! Waffles were ok,as was the drink. Would have given our breakfast one star, but for Bellabot !! Very much a gimmick masking the fact the food tastes of nothing and there is no one to complain to. Way over priced too,but get away with it as their market is for air travellers.

I visited the restaurant for some breakfast before my flight. I was on my own and I could count about 7 people in the restaurant so fairly quiet. There were 4 members of staff on this day (including the chef) and robots that would serve the food straight to your table. When I went into the restaurant I looked at the table trying to work out instruction on how to order, there were instructions to scan a QR code and you can order online and pay. I then went to the counter and asked the lady would I should do, even though there were 3 people working and the girl herself had no jobs to do she still said that I would be best to order from the table using the code. No problem I did as I was told! So I sat down and followed the instruction - I ordered the royal Benedict, a coffee and an orange juice. This came to Ā£20.80. Right away my bank told me the transaction had been taken however I had not been emailed to say my order had gone through. I then asked the lady at the counter how do I know if my order has gone through? She said did you get an email I said no so we checked my spam still nothing went through. So I went up to the counter and spoke to the woman who told me to order in the first place - she said not to worry, the money will be sitting in your pending and it will be bounced back to you and that I should order again but this time with her at the counter. This time I ordered again but through the flustering I ended up ordering eggs Benedict but this time instead of the salmon it was with the ham instead as I didn’t have the menu infront of me. This transaction came to Ā£18.79. My order arrived about 10 mins later which was fine by the robot and the meal was not enjoyable. But it was fine and I ate half!

I kept checking my bank to see if the first transaction went through and on Friday the 20th I checked the bank and both transactions had gone through.. why didn’t the Ā£20.80 bounce back?

I have since called the number on my receipt and I was asked to fill out this survey and someone would get back to me. This is the third time I’ve filled this out and so this time I’m pressing yes for the survey to go up online. How dare you take my money that wasn’t yours to take from me? Someone must contact me back so I can get this sorted immediately. My number has been put on the survey I filled out...

For my wife and myself this has to be the worst ever restaurant experience of our now pension age lives. From an uninspiring menu we selected what we thought might be a relatively safe choice-traditional fish and chips although already off putting in that the price was nearly Ā£18 per person.(Yes airport prices are stupidly expensive but this is really unreasonable) When both dishes arrived the exceptionally meagre portions of food were cold and the fish greasy and sloppy. My wife returned her food to eventually get a replacement dish which was equally as bad as the first if not worse. The most mediocre fish and chip shops in the UK would produce food much superior to the offering from Sip and Stone . The chefs responsible for this need to really reconsider their professionalism . Needless to say we would never entertain this place again for food and having read genuine reviews we are not alone in this decision. A section from a Belfast Telegraph review states that ā€˜The people who run these places should be ashamed of themselves, and the young people they employ to peddle this quality of food deserve a better start in the hospitality trade. Is it any wonder the sector can't recruit people when the likes of Sip & Stone give it such a bad name?’ Owners/management/chefs for Sip and Stone...

As a gluten intolerant person, I asked if the fries were cooked in the same fryers as the gluten products. Was told by the server, yes they are so not gluten free. I asked then for a burger with a gluten free bun (advertised on the menu as an option) Was then asked 'do you want fries with that?'. I repeated again I was gluten intolerant and was told the meal would just come as a burger without a side but there would be no price reduction. Not the end of the world I guess. Then I asked if the burger was cooked on a grill with gluten products and he said yes, they're cooked on the same grill space as Southern fried chicken. I asked if there were two seperate sides to the grill trying to judge the risk of cross contamination and he said the burgers are literally cooked right on top of the same space a fried chicken would have just come off. So I ask why they're advertising a gluten free option for burgers if the burger and chips are all cooked with gluten products. He couldn't see why this would be an issue. Ludicrous. I asked for a manger, he said there isn't one. I asked who I can complain to and was told to just leave a bad review on Google and tripadvisor hence my review. If you are gluten intolerant or coeliac, please don't bother with this place! Attitude and...
