The Golden Dragon — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Decided to try Golden Dragon on 31/12/23. Was extremely busy, placed my order (2x pork fillets, no veg except mushrooms & satay skewers) at 6:30 & was told it would be over 30 mins before it was ready. I said I would wait in the car so was given a buzzer. 30 mins passed & the buzzer hadn’t gone but as it was NYE I didn’t think anything of it. A few minutes later one of the staff came out with my order. I said oh the buzzer didn’t go off sorry! Went home with food (approx 5 mins drive). When I got home everything was absolutely stone cold & the meal was also incorrect as there was peas, onions & tomato in with the meat. I phoned at 19:08 to advise of this. I was asked lots of questions particularly about whether the buzzer went off. Eventually the person took my details & said there would be a credit waiting for me for my next order. I said no look, I still need to eat this evening so can I just have a replacement & again gave my full order. The lady told me it would again be 30 minute wait and that she would phone me as soon as the food left the kitchen. At 19:45 i still hadnt had a phone call so I went in. Took approx 10 mins before anyone acknowledged me. The lady apologised and again said the buzzer should have gone off & was I sure it hadn’t etc. Told me my food still wasn’t ready so I took a seat. At 8:20 my food finally appeared, however the restaurant had now run out of mushrooms so there were no mushrooms with my meal. At this point I just wanted to eat so I just took the food, however I don’t think it’s acceptable that I had to wait over an hour for a replacement meal. I think I should have been prioritised due to the error Of the restaurant & perhaps if this had been done they wouldn’t have run out of mushrooms. When I finally got eating my dinner, the chips weren’t well cooked, the pork fillet was tough & unseasoned and overall it wasn’t very nice. Wouldn’t recommend, will stick to my usual...

Friday night. 7.30pm. Phoned through and was told 1.5-2hrs for delivery. Collection was 1/2hr so we went ahead and ordered. From past experience we knew they were never on time, so we arrived at approx 8.10. Told the kitchen was behind and it'd be ready soon. Finally got our order at 8.30. Whilst waiting it was clear we weren't the only ones hanging about for longer than necessary. On our way out the door we walked past two staff members, one of which giggled as she nodded towards another customer and said he'd been waiting an hour. Disgraceful. Food was ok. The 1/2&1/2 curry was way too spicy and wasn't overly enjoyed. I ordered a mixed veg chow mein. Good selection of veg through it. Noodles were ok. Portion size was half of what we normally get in the Mandarin Palace. Sorry folks - won't be back and...

Always was my favourite but not as good as it was post covid . A bit dated and empty . Would bennifit a revamp ..carpet ect a bit tired... TONIGHT WE GOT A HOME DELIVERY CALLED AT 515 TO BE TOLD 90 WAIT TIME.... OK DONT MIND THE WAITING .. CALLED THE SHOP AFTER THE HOUR AND A HALF ROLD OUT WITH DRIVER ... CALLED BACK HALF A HOUR LATER .. STILL NO MEAL .. AND WOW TUBS NOT FILLED ALL THE WAY UP ..SRUNK FLATION .. PRICES HAVE GOT EXPENSIVE TOO ... WINT BE BACK HERE ..LOTS OF SHOPS SELLING BETTER FOOD ... SAVE MONEY...
