Stephen made us feel very welcome in his beautiful restaurant while sitting down with us and having a lovely chat. He and his wife Alex have worked so hard to create this amazing gem with their very friendly and helpful team making us feel so at home with their superb service!!!. The food was so fresh and presented beautifully. I ordered a white chocolate scone with jam and cream.....my god!!! It was that good I came back the next day for more! The quirkiness, thought, and love that went into the decor is plain to be seen...all the beautiful clocks on the walls were at different times....what's time when you're having fun I suppose...amazing!! I can't wait to call in again. Thanks guys...well done!

Was really looking forward to visiting Time but was greatly disappointed. Waited for nearly 25 mins to get our food, with excuse given that only 1 chef was working. I feel for the other customers who came in after us as they will be waiting a while to eat. Dessert was a let down - had asked for the brownie to be warmed but came out cold with an overdose of fake chocolate sauce, 3 quarters of a strawberry and the smallest scoop of ice cream. Not recommended. I think the best bit of the whole meal was the lemon iced water.

I will never understand why places do this to simple avacado bacon and poached egg. This is my favourite brunch meal and it was absolutely destroyed with an overkill of sirracha sauce which ruined the flavour of everything the poached eggs were rock solid and the toast was stone cold and hard to cut needless to say I left 90% of it on the plate. So disappointing as this is a nice spot and they have really lovely desserts but I wouldn't rush back to eat in after this.

Called in today with husband and dog, told no longer dog friendly inside (was after lockdown) so sat outside in the bitterly cold wind tunnel and this is only place for smokers too. Noone approached us so after 10mins husband went in to order, we only wanted coffee and snack, only lunch menu available at this time. Ordered 2 cappuccinos, 2 sausages and a jam donut, asked if he wanted cream or icecream with donut as its deemed a desert, said no- £4.95 eye watering price. Asked if it could be brought out as we both use walking sticks, no problem. 1223, nearly 45mins later noone had come near us, despite a member of staff clearing another table outside, I went in, told its nearly ready. Then someone appeared from kitchen area, oh youre the takeaway, no, im sitting outside, oh will I put these on plates then, I said no because we'd be leaving as totally frozen, ok thats your jam donut with ice cream, I said no icecream I'm cold enough, oh it was ordered like that, not on my receipt, oh it only shows on the order not customers receipt, I said I'm freezing do not want it, just bin it, she walked out behind me with it, I'll just leave it on the table, again, I said bin it, I then confirmed with my husband the interaction at till and he confirmed, no apology for wait, no apology for takeaway boxes, no apology for non delivery, no apology for wrong order. The coffees were luke warm as were the sausages, it was obviously left standing for at least 10mins. £13.35 practically down the toilet, dog loved his warm sausages at least. I will never be back. It was obvious that they were understaffed and people were doing jobs they didn't know, such as girl on till put our table number as 99 as we didn't have one and had difficulty locating jam donut as it is described as...

Food took ages and then was very average and poorly presented. My Bacon and Brie was supposed to be toasted. The bread was only shown to the toaster and was luke warm. The top slice of bread was half off. We ordered two chocolate milkshakes and they must have used the milk that had been out of the fridge for ages and was at room temperature. Asked for ice to make it colder. Another friend had the bacon and eggs and the presentation was very poor. As for the atmosphere, so many of the light bulbs were not working and one was greeted at the front door by the brooms and dustpan and brush lying on the floor. The toilet needed attention too. Clean toilets are a must for any restaurant and must be chekced every 30 minutes for cleanliness. Wet floors in a toilet are a real turn off. And for a restaurant of that size to have only one toilet is ridiculous. The sign beside the toilet door joked about how long a minute is depending on which side of the toilet door you were on. It said YOUR ON. Isn't it YOU'RE ON? I am an ex Englsih teacher. We only went there because two of the party had been a while back and thought it was good. They too were very disappointed with the whole experience. Has it changed hands? Attention to detail is the essence of running a restaurant and this one is sadly lacking in all areas. Give it a miss and go elsewhere. I would be surprised if it is still open in 6 months if it continues the way it was today. Will definitely...

Had a very disappointing brunch there today.

  1. To begin with they asked us to take a seat at a table and wait to be called forward to place our order. 15 minutes later we had to ask if we could proceed to counter- they'd forgotten about us!!
  2. asked for a smoke salmon and cream cheese bagel. What came was a tinned salmon bagel with no cream cheese ! Queried this with staff who advised smoked salmon hadn't arrived in the mornings order so they used tinned salmon instead ! Surely this situation should have been pointed out when I ordered to give me the chance to choose an alternative. Instead they offered me the alternative only on me refusing the tinned salmon version.
  3. my replacement brunch was a bacon and cream cheese bagel which arrived quite quickly but at no stage was I offered a return for the difference in price between the smoked salmon version and the bacon version. It was only £2.25 but it's the principle involved and some kind of act of goodwill would have been nice !! Sorry but it will be a while...
