Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out a new takeaway spot called Clucked, which offers a dining experience quite similar to Nando’s. As a lover of flavorful, well-cooked chicken, I was excited to see how Clucked measures up.

Food Quality: The highlight of Clucked is, undoubtedly, the chicken. I ordered whole chicken platter ,10 wings and it was cooked to perfection. After visiting this place, I left feeling really Cluck’d Off.

The first thing I felt annoyed with, was when I was ordering the food. I wanted to make a simple switch compared to what the menu offered. A box meal of salt and pepper chicken which came with fries. I simply wanted to change the fries for Rice and was told NO (even though the fires and rice were the same price on the sides menu) I would have even paid the difference.

I asked why and they just said “No it comes with fries” I argued a few more times and then got “the till doesn’t allow us to change”

Just communicate it through then maybe?

Anyway, I changed my mind and went for 2 chicken sliders with a side of rice and a coke (£13…. Something)

That turned up within 4 mins. This made me question the freshness, is the chicken even cooked?

The burgers….. I know sliders are small, but I didn’t think they would be that small for the price I paid.

Imagine them little burger jelly sweets you can get. A little bit bigger than that. (And a lot smaller than a mini fillet)

And the chicken inside….. well there wasn’t any. Just a few small bits of the crispy outside coating that normally Covers the chicken.

I didn’t bother to argue after the first encounter. Stick to Nando’s a couple of mins down the road if you want the choice to swap out some bits and get good...
