I am so glad I tried the cheese and chive scone here! No wonder it was the last one left. I’ve only had a handful of scones ever but I feel like I’d never had a real scone (not like the dry ones) until today. They warmed it up for me and the inside was so soft and buttery, while the outside had a nice crunchy texture. The sweet onion chutney added to an already tasty cheese and chive flavour. It was also very affordable (under Ā£3) yet the portion was generous and really filling. The staff here are also genuinely warm and welcoming, and the cafe has a cozy yet practical atmosphere.

I ordered the salon and avacado on a begal with a poached egg and an english breakfast tea with soy milk. Sadly the begal wasnt toasted or anything it was just placed from the packet and covered in avocado which made the entire meal cold and unpleasant to taste, the egg didnt seem very warm either. The begal also seemed quite stale and chewy which i was not looking for in a meal. Its a shame because the people were really nice and the guy at the front of the shop was very nice and helpful but i feel the food was not enjoyable.

My partner and I popped in On a Monday lunchtime towards the end of November so the festive menu was up and running. I had the ultimate Christmas lunch sandwich while my partner had the pigs in blankets baguette. Both are great although the Christmas lunch sandwich would have benefited from toasted focaccia. Service was timely and friendly. We often come here and I’m sure will be back again.

Extremely disappointing experience. I had read lots of good reviews about the salads at this place so was initially very disappointed to find that the ā€˜build a salad’ option was for some strange reason only available for take away not for eat in customers. I therefore chose one of the set menu salads to eat in. The chicken in the chicken Caesar. salad was very dry and despite being advertised as garlic and thyme was lacking any flavour at all. To be honest it was inedible. The eat in area of the cafe was dark and gloomy and reminiscent of somewhere from the 1950s. Not an experience I will be repeating, especially as Norwich has so many really excellent eating places. To be fair, they did deduct some money from my bill as I left all...
