A Disappointing Experience – Serious Hygiene and Efficiency Concerns

I usually enjoy the milkshakes here, but today was incredibly disappointing. I ordered a Flump milkshake, and my sister ordered a Fruit Pastille one. Despite only four people ahead of us, it took 30 minutes for the staff to make and serve four milkshakes.

After we paid, my sister was informed they had run out of Fruit Pastilles. With her limited options due to allergies, she reluctantly accepted jelly tots as a substitute. However, when her milkshake finally came back, they suddenly claimed to have found Fruit Pastilles. The result was confusing and poorly made—she couldn’t even tell what was in it.

The staff’s performance was appalling. They worked as if they had no understanding of how to manage a busy service. Their slow approach and lack of urgency made the entire experience frustrating. At this pace, I don’t see how the business can run efficiently or retain customers.

Even worse, there were serious hygiene concerns. The staff’s appearance was unprofessional, with scruffy, loose hair that wasn’t tied back properly. We also saw them touching the bins and continuing to prepare drinks without washing their hands. This was incredibly off-putting and made my sister and I reluctant to drink the milkshakes we had waited so long for.

There needs to be a review of the hygiene standards and staff training at this location. The milkshakes here are usually excellent, but today’s poor service, lack of hygiene, and inefficient approach have made me question whether...

I recently visited SHAAKE and had an amazing experience! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for enjoying a treat. The variety of shakes they offer is impressive, with unique flavors and creative combinations that you won't find anywhere else. I tried the Nutella shake & KitKat shake; and both the shakes were absolutely delicious—creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced in flavour. I also had fresh juice (orange carrot and apple) today and it was so refreshing and full of vitamin C. 😉

The service was quick, and the shakes were beautifully presented. I also appreciated the option to customize my shake with various toppings and add-ins, making it a truly personalized experience.

Overall, SHAAKE exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return and try more of their delightful creations. Highly recommended for anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth with a high-quality, indulgent shake!

A clean and fresh looking establishment. We ordered two milkshakes and two smoothies and the drinks were great, we all really enjoyed them and they're made right in front of you. But there are two areas that this place lets itself down.

Firstly, the menu is just ridiculous. We couldn't work out what we were meant to be doing with it or what it would cost. Could we choose two fillings or three? Or was it just one? Were there additional costs for multiple fillings, you'd presume so, but we couldn't see them...who knows.

Second, most of the staff seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. They weren't rude or unapproachable, just a bit 'meh'.

Overall, we'd probably go back, but we would really appreciate a half decent menu...
