Now I’m very experienced in this kind of stuff as this is my 4th review so I know what I’m talking about. I’ve reviewed mathswatch and the amazing stapenhill fish bar as well.

When we got there we immediately noticed prime arin arif was NOT being shown on TV. This is an utter disgrace

I ordered some fried sperm arancini and it took a whole 50 MINUTES to be brought to my table and the server was very rude. I just know arin arif would’ve had that ready in 3 minutes with a smile on his face. Do better

When I went into the toilet there was poo all over the walls and some of it dripped down which was disgusting. They weren’t even playing classics like thick of it and skittles lewis

Firmly in the traditional pub end of the market, this pub is looked after and puts on a variety of events and food. Being close to the centre of Norwich however, it can compare slightly poorly to many of the amazing pubs and bars in or around the city centre. If you want somewhere more lively and modern this isn't going to be it for you, but if you prefer an older British pub feel you'll feel right at home. On food days, the food is excellent and a bit of a dark horse of really good quality - provided by a slowly changing line up of guest independent food outfits operating from their kitchens. Rang Saturday for a table of 5 on Sunday, 4.30, no problem. When we arrive on Sunday the only table available is next to the gent’s, so we had the o so sweet of the toilets 🤢. Not much choice of main so had the beef, when it eventually arrived, lighting was poor so had to use my mobile phone torch so I could see what I was eating, 2 thick cut pieces of beef, nice, but would have preferred it to have been cooked a bit more, not keen on pink meat. Veg and yorkshire where ok. Sorry I won’t be coming back and I won’t be recommending you. Also could do with wiping the table, my coat sleeves kept sticking...
