HOME Cafe — Restaurant in Norwich

Lovely friendly owners and great selection of cakes and pastries.

The only problem I have is the price of the takeaway sandwiches/baguettes. Total bill was £9.20 for a baguette and a brownie. This is way too much for lunch time office workers which is going to be the main business for the area. People won’t be able to justify this for work lunch. I think the problem is how cheap it was when it was tiffins.

I don’t like giving negative reviews on such a great family run business but I thought it’s best to give some feedback. Might be best to do a meal deal type offer or something.

I’ve been local to Thorpe for years and have never seen this cafe thrive the way it does under the current owners. This cafe has real heart & is a beacon of positivity in the Thorpe community. My sister has a newborn baby and almost turned around today when she arrived and wasn’t sure her pram would fit through the tables of people. The manager was so encouraging and so kind, he helped move chairs and patrons out of the way and welcomed her warmly. I love how friendly the staff are even when busy. The food & coffee is sublime. Really good cafe. Had a great full English breakfast (two eggs, two sausage, two bacon, mushrooms, tomato, hash browns, beans, toast and a mug of tea with teabag and milk to get the strength you want. Looks like coffee and cakes were also good, other regular customers getting those. Would have indulged but had to dash for train. Also has a nice clean toilet, which as Michel Roux said "is always the most important place to check in any...
