Whilst the breakfast I had was good, there were a series of errors that led to a very bad experience. When we arrived, we paid for 2 coffees and a session for my great-granddaughter of the soft play. The lady who took the order said that they would be placed on the side when ready. 15 minutes later and seeing several coffees go out, the young lad that was doing the coffees asked what I was waiting for, Americans and latte. He asked the lady who served me, and she admitted that she had not printed the ticket. After minishing my coffee, I saw a gentleman on the table next to me who was having a breakfast that looked really good, so I went and ordered one as well as a sausage roll for my Great Granddaughter. After 30 mins my wife was surprised we still hadn't seen our food, so she went to ask where it was. The you lad instantly sorted out the sausage roll then had to ask what we had ordered and when. I eventually got a very nice breakfast. The lad was very good and explained that the lady was new and was still learning on her 3rd shift. Whilst I was writing this review, a lady who was clearing the tables spoke to me and explained she was having problems employing staff and apologised again for the service we had received, I take it she was...
Read moreThe soft play is terrific, creative, super-clean and great fun. However in the cafe I've twice had the same experience with the same member of staff that is mentioned in other reviews. I was charged £1.20 for a small quantity if milk (for the baby, she knew that, I had his cup which really nice lady washed out for me). On being charged £1.20 I asked for it in a paper cup to at least get a decent amount of milk.Without communication, a ridiculous little beaker was found in the kitchen. I protested requesting a paper one. I was gruffly told "these paper cups are expensive"! I pointed out the £1.20 for a bit of milk for a baby was also expensive, whereupon grudgingly I was given half a paper cupful of milk. Absurd. So many of the staff are sunny warm and helpful. It must be tough to work alongside someone who is so frequently hostile...
Read moreLove Williams Kitchen but I've left one star as there is a lady who works here who is so, so rude. She is probably in her 60s and has short brown hair. I can see another comment relating to her from 11 months ago and she is still working here. I was in Williams Kitchen recently having breakfast and was shouted at by her to 'move out of her way' and she tutted as she walked past. People do not understand why she still works there. I have seen her leave someone vulnerable shaking before by being rude and abrupt to him. I have seen her shout at people before for having done nothing wrong. She is bullying your clientele and everyone knows it. You MUST have had complaints made about her before. Can you at least provide some training because it has led me to not ever want to visit your...
