I'd read so many great reviews about this place that I finally gave in to temptation and had one of their breakfasts. And boy... I wasn't disappointed. 😋
From the minute my friends and I were welcomed in by the lovely server, to the nice ambiance of the place and its really tasty food, The Street Cafe was one pleasurable experience after another.
Sure... it's not a cheap experience by any means. I plumped for the '1996' breakfast which together with a small Americano, came to just over nineteen of my hard-earned pounds. That's twice the cost of my former go-to Cafe on the Corner in Anglia Sqaure. But despite the heftier assault on my wallet, there it no arguing about the quality of the breakfasts served. My was definitely a case of getting what you pay for👌🙌 and for the first time I can ever recall in my life, I had to politely request a doggy-bag for the food I couldn't finish. There was literally, so much of it.
I think going forward, The Street Cafe will become a regular fixture in my life, albeit, it might only be a once a month treat.

On entry you have to wait to be seated. But, we were warmly greeted by a member of staff. Who showed us to our table and mentioned that there would be a 40 minute wait for food. Not to worry, it was a quick pit stop for a coffee and scone. Which wasn't a problem for the staff.
t was very busy at the time of visiting. That didn't seem to bother the staff who were dashing around with all of the orders.
After around 10 mins our scones arrived and they were perfect. My wife went for a cheese scone which came with cream cheese and an onion chutney. I plumed for the fruit scone which came with clotted cream and jam. Both scones were £3.80 each. Well worth the money as they were delicious. Along with the latte and cappuccino it came to £13.20.
There was a really good vibe about the place and you could see why it was so popular. We will definitely be heading back for a breakfast as they looked...

Normally people go for the amazing and well know breakfast but at 12:30pm felt a bit much. I opted for a toasties and my friend opted for a wrap. Both with triple cooked chips.
The food as expected was lovely. And the triple cooked chips were crunchy outside and soft inside. Really nice.
The meals came with a lovely salad and coleslaw and we struggled to finish it in the end.
A very nice flat white and americano served with biscoff biscuits were the perfect thing to wash down.
This is a great little place to eat and worth a visit if in Norwich but may have to...
