Homes for Students Russell View — Hotel in Nottingham

One of the Best affordable accoms in Notts. I stayed in a standard studio during my Second Year which was nice and much more comfortable than expected as the picture doesn't really sell it . Loved the fact I didn't have to worry about a TV licence, though I mostly used my Ps4. Also liked the fact that a hoover and ironing bored was provided for my individual studio.

There was a few management problems at first due to the temporary manager leaving and the fobs not working properly, but after James arrived everything was perfect and taken care of.

Fast maintaince/repairs, as My fridge wasn't working properly at first, to which Colin was able to order me a new one, which came with a bigger freezer compartment which was a Bonus.

I Also experienced a leak a couple of times which Colin was on hand to fix and get resolved quickly, and James even arranged for my bathroom to be cleaned up due to the mess from the leak as I was away.

Warm friendly atmosphere to make you feel at home, with there always being a friendly face at reception and ready to help; whether that was to let me back in my room after  locking my keys in there,have a quick chat or even collect my numerous parcels. There was also the occasional morning treats set out  e.g. fruit, donuts, biscuits which was a nice touch and start to the day.

My only gripe is that they put the rooms on sale from November with no first refusal to current residents, with my Room and all the other standard studios being booked before had a chance to rebook. But otherwise great Accom and would...

I've lived in Russell View for three academic years and never felt the need to change, which speaks volumes about the quality of this accommodation.

The location is fantastic, just a 15-minute walk from the city centre, with plenty of facilities nearby. Lime bikes are available within 2 minutes walking distance, making it easy to get around the city, and as a student you get a 50% discount. There are several supermarkets within walking distance, Tesco Express is just 6 minutes away, and both Asda and Lidl are within 15 minutes. On top of that, there's a tram stop 10 minutes away and a bus stop just 4 minutes from the accommodation.

The rooms at Russell View are well-designed, making efficient use of the available space. The Wi-Fi is generally great, but during peak times, you might want to use an ethernet cable for better stability, which is convenient since each room has an ethernet port.

The management team is outstanding. Special thanks to James, the manager, who is very professional and genuinely cares about the well-being of the students. Shoutout to the rest of the team as well. Colin, who always has a lovely chat whenever I see him. Michelle, who is incredibly helpful and ensures everything runs smoothly and Jeanette, a wonderful person who brightens up Russell View.

From a personal perspective, Russell View is a great place to live during your university years. I've made many wonderful memories here and would happily do it...

After 4 years of living in student accommodation throughout my degree, I can confidently say that Russell View is a level above the rest. The location is excellent (good tram links and walking distance to town) and the experience there is great. The team of James, Michelle and Colin are friendly, helpful and diligent. Issues are resolved immediately and they go the extra mile for residents - organising socials, giving out freebies and even providing pizza nights.

Facilities such as ping pong, pool table, study booths and wireless charging ports allow the common room to be versatile in its use, ideal for getting ready for a night out or for long study sessions towards the end of the academic year.

The rooms are modern and clean, providing all the facilities necessary to students including super fast wifi and lots of clever storage solutions. Large desks allow for efficient study set ups which was particularly helpful during my finals.

I highly recommend Russell View to students of all ages and regret that I did not find it until my final year...
