Limekiln — Restaurant in Nottingham

The bar lady was OVERLY rude. She dismissed everything we said. We stood for ages at the bar TWICE as she served regulars that were coming to the bar after wed already been waiting to be served. The ONE AND ONLY server spent most of her time tending to her 3 kids or telling them off, who shed bought along to work with her. Not very professional if you ask me. Food took at least 40 mins or more to come out and everyones food came out at different times.. MY food was really nice. Mine anyway. My daughter didnt enjoy hers whatsoever and refused to eat it i had to force her to eat a little bit of it. My gran said her fish batter was way too fatty and her chips were dry so she didnt enjoy it at all. My daughters chocolate brownie was infact cheap chocolate cake warmed up. Then to top it off the claw machine states prize every time. It didnt give me a prize, so had to put more money in. The machine didnt even go down half the machine so my daughter got a toy she didnt want as the claw wouldnt reach the one she did want. I asked for a refund or swap as its her own money - shes only 3 and was gutted she had the wrong toy and on our way home she asked me to throw it in the bin! The "rude" bar lady first said it could be refunded and then changed her mind seconds later..

Wouldnt have been so bad for my first time there as i did like my food but not at the expense of rude customer service. The blonde bar woman has no people skills whatsoever and shouldnt be working...

This pub gone down hill, we use to ho for a meal. But yeasterday April 10,2025 we went in sat near the bar, and we heard a male member of staff telling customer that their was an issue with their Web page,, when I went up to the bar to order our meal I told them I have an allergy, so she replyed you need to go to our Web page to see what good you can have, mowing full will that their Web page was not working,, so if this is how people are being treated with allergy by this pub their in breack of the equality act 2010. Is was very clear this pub gone down hill and don't want people with allergy in their pub,, so we left and went down the road to another pub that did meals, so we went in and odred a meal, the fist thing we was asked before she tuck our order was fo you have any allergies I sead yes, with out any issues , she sead let's s how we can help, I told her what had just happened to us at the limekiln,the member of staff told me your not the frist to tell us about that...

Just been for food at limekiln, we were seated in the outside seating area. I had to go inside and ask twice to ask if anyone was coming to give table service as we were told. While we were waiting there was a table full of people smoking weed shouting and swearing, as someone who came for a meal and a drink this was shambles. When I went inside to pay for my food the bar was aware of the smell of weed and the whole pub smelt. When I was eating my food one of the people on the weed smokers table actually spat on the floor next to me while I was eating. The fact is, while the pub staff were aware of the smell they didn't even remove the people smoking and they actually moved them round the corner to the carpark where they continued to smoke and shout, can't believe how awful my...
