absolutely abysmal. service was horrendous. rude staff very full of themselves. hygiene both in the restaurant and staff members is horrific. poor staff looked like they had no sleep. food was a different matter entirely. it was over cooked and too greasy almost slipped out my fingers. drink service was terrible. waited 30 mins + just for dirty glasses. cutlery was astonishing. could almost make out the lipstick prints of the last user. salad bar was drier than the Sahara. tables were disgusting. thought someone was already eating at the table we were sat at it was so dirty. I almost got stuck to the seats they were so sticky. please give them a good wash. I could see the dust falling from the lampshades as i ate. the atmosphere was so bad i think my depression relapsed. staff members need to be trained better because the service was just horrific. I will NOT be coming back here it was like something out of a nightmare. the amount of things that i heard got dropped was unreal. i’m surprised they have any crockery left. as well as this, I was abstained by the delivery window. so dirty and the staff didn’t wipe it before giving the next pizzas out. they made the delivery drivers wait for ages. you could hear the staff talking badly about the tables in the restaurant too. they do not have any respect for their customers who are paying overpriced rates for what I would call cardboard with a gram of cheese on top. i waited ages for my food just for it to arrive wrong the first time and cold the second. disgraceful. outrageous even. when it came to pay my bill the staff had the audacity to not only not put a discount on but to also place the card machine in front of my wife asking for a tip. my final horrific statement about the what they call a “restaurant” is the parking. as if it’s not bad enough i already had to pay well over £150 just for the two of us i also had to pay an £100 fine for parking. you’d think it would be free as you waste so much money already. when i went in to ask about the fine the staff were rude and said they wouldn’t do anything about it and that i will have been told before seated (which i was not). overall my experience was horrid and I suggest staying away if you don’t want to be bullied by the staff. I hope food critics see my review and do something about the matter as action needs to be taken immediately. YOU HAVE LOST A FAITHFUL CUSTOMER. any restaurant could out pizza the hut. (the slogans on the staff shirts were so horrifying i felt sick. as rude as the staff were no one should have to be put through...
Read moreNot impressed at all, our visit was 31st May 2016, around 6pm. Upon entering the place looked quiet, only about three tables taken, only one serving member of staff. Another member of staff, not in uniform, but seemingly sitting waiting to start work looked particularly glum.
We were shown to our table, and immediately the music was on so loud we could not hear one another talking, we could not hear the staff, we couldn't clearly talk to anyone. Indeed, because of this brain damage causing volume the staff got my order wrong.
We seemed to wait a long time to be served, and even longer to receive out food, and when it came, only 2 of our three arrived, my wifes order was missing.
When it finally came, it seemed her pizza had been rushed through, clearly someone forgot it, and they got my order wrong, so two immediate faults.
Looking around the place, it looked drab, dirty, the frosted plastic on glass partitions had been partially peeled and doodles scrawled on it. The floor looked dirty and the two serving points looked deshevilled, with items spilling out their doors, and junk cluttering up the tills.
Going to the self-service drink machine I was immediately put off, by the work surface absolutely swimming in liquid and the work surface being stained. The touch screen was greasy to the touch, and it looked a mess. Staff however walked past this not seeming to give it any notice.
The ice cream station was just as bad! There were no cutlery, nor bowls out at that station, and indeed a member of staff had to hand us bowls hot from the dishwasher.
Not only this, but this one member of staff seemed to be running tables, and also cooking and cutting pizza, disturbingly I saw the same cutter being used for meat and veggie pizzas, and for fish covered to none pizza. The base of my wifes rushed pizza was doughy, whilst the top was burned. And the chips they served were hit and miss, some well cooked, some still soft and very soggy.
Condiments on the table looked chatty and were smeared in sauce left by prior diners.
The salad bar looked like a riot had taken place, lettuce was up and out over the place, dips and sauces sloshed into one another, it looked disgusting.
The gents were no better, with a cracked urinal, dripping.
The whole place looked worn out, drab and dirty. We only visited because of the current TV adverts touting the new look restaurants, it was a total crock and we won't be...
Read more5 Stars – Outstanding Service at Castle Marina Pizza Hut!
We had the pleasure of dining at the Castle Marina Pizza Hut last night to celebrate my son's birthday, and I just had to leave a glowing review for Chris, who truly made our evening special.
From the moment we arrived, Chris was a shining example of what great customer service should be. He greeted us warmly at the door and showed us straight to our reserved table, making us feel welcome right from the start. We ordered through the app, and our drinks arrived promptly, followed shortly by our food, all served in a timely and efficient manner.
What stood out the most, though, was Chris himself. He was not only friendly and professional, but he went the extra mile in all the small ways that made a big difference. He looked genuinely pleased to have us there — something that feels rare these days — and he even shared a laugh with the boys, which they loved.
One particularly thoughtful moment was when he brought out takeaway boxes for the leftover pizzas. The boys were unsure whether to take their leftovers home since they were absolutely stuffed, but Chris brought the boxes anyway, which encouraged them not to waste food. It was a small gesture, but it said so much about the care he puts into his role.
As we left, Chris sent us off with a kind “It was nice to meet you all,” and it really made us feel appreciated as customers. I honestly haven’t experienced service like that in a very long time — warm, genuine, and above all, human.
Most of us had never dined in at Pizza Hut before, and thanks to Chris, it was a fantastic first experience. We’ll absolutely be back, and Chris’s excellent service has definitely turned us into regulars. He is a true asset to your company, and I hope his efforts are recognised — he certainly deserves it.
Thank you again, Chris, for helping make my son’s birthday...
