I recently ordered a full English breakfast from The Crusty Cob Shop, swapping out the bacon and sausages for vegan options. I was really looking forward to a hearty meal, but what I got was anything but satisfying.
First off, the packaging was a disaster. When it arrived, it was leaking everywhere—the bag was soaked, and it made a mess before I even opened it. Not exactly the best first impression. Inside, the food was haphazardly thrown together, all squashed and unappealing.
As for the meal itself, it was just plain disappointing. The vegan sausages were bland and had this strange, grainy texture that was hard to get past. The eggs were cold and rubbery, almost like they'd been cooked hours before and left sitting out. The toast was so limp and soggy that it was more like wet bread than anything else. The mushrooms were watery and lacked any real taste, and the hash browns were overly greasy to the point of being inedible.
Honestly, this didn't feel like an English breakfast at all. Every component was poorly prepared and lacked flavour. It was clear that no care went into making this meal enjoyable. I was left feeling pretty let down, and I definitely won't be ordering...
Read moreOrdered from uber eats and there were hairs all over my cob and inside, absolutely disgusting. Dread to imagine the state of the where this was prepared. It wasn’t cheap either, for a cob and a coffee it was almost £14 which I couldn’t really afford but thought it would be a nice treat- ended up in the bin and I was almost sick. I would not recommend purchasing anything from here. I have contacted the store via email and would love to hear back as to what whoever runs this place thinks of this because it’s...
Read moreOrdered breakfast tray and a crusty cob special on Ubereats because they have a 4.5 star review and truthfully it’s underwhelming and not worth the price, I should have bought the bits to do my own fry up and cob. Bacon had a lot of fat on which didn’t look or taste cooked long enough, hash browns were tasteless and soggy… the latte I paid £4.80 for (vanilla shot) was tasty but very small for the price. Honestly it was for the most part edible but very bland, won’t be...
