Premier In. review||Checked in for 2 nights with the meal deal. Asked if I could possibly check in early as had come from a long way but was advised there would be a £15 charge for that. Fair enough - this was annoying and (personally) I feel if the room is ready why not let guests use them instead of milking us for more money.|On check in the staff member was friendly, room nice and bed super comfortable. There was a bath with overhanging shower in my room. The toilet seat was broken (did not realize until I sat on it and fell off and hurt myself!). I had mentioned this to the person at reception when I left for the day to hopefully get it fixed but on my return to the room that evening it had not been fixed - so stuck with a very wobbly toilet seat for my stay. Rooms have tea / coffee in as you would expect and look modern. |I was booked in for the meal deal which you get for dinner 2 courses and a drink. Fish and chips was nice on my first night as was the sundae for dessert. Breakfast was very good, the hot breakfast was freshly prepared. |My second dinner the service was not the best, the chap who served dinner could see I was busy and he brought over my starter (calamari - which was not very hot) and instead of putting it on the table was holding it in front of me to take from him and put down. Pretty poor that I think. |I spoke with the “duty manager” about this on Thursday evening who told me she could not do anything but give me guests relations number. I called them and they were closed and advised to use their website on the pre recorded line. I tried to leave “feedback” on the site but this would not submit. I informed reception and asked if they would let the manager know so still up in the air with that. ||Hotel is located close to plenty of shops like a big sainsburys, Argos, B and M, Lidl, McDonalds.||All in all not a terrible stay but I have to say I am disappointed how the faulty toilet seat and my injury was treated and not rectified adequately as well as the poor dinner on Thursday 9th October 2025. I would have rated higher if the issues would have...
Read moreNot the best premier inn. Rooms were ok. the fan did not help cool the room at all. The main issue was the restaurant. It was a beefeater, closed down. now just for hotel guests, so it opens later. Booked a table for 18.00. When it opens. Got seated. Give my order asap as it was getting busy quickly. I Know the menu inside out,as I stay in hotels every week for work around the uk. Food was adequate, portion size was abit on the poor side. Within half an hour, the staff had to inform the guests that there is only one chef available, so wait times will be high. Exactly the same issue at Peterborough North hotel last week. Breakfast was even better. Only 7 people in,2 were eating and the other's food was been prepared. food was cooked to order. When showed to my seat,I asked if I could give my order now as I knew what I would like. The guy said I'll be with you in a minute. After cleaning the tables, trying to sort the faulty coffee machine and other bits,I'd say ten minutes he came to take the order of a person near me then myself. I Waited, I'd say another 10 minutes, the other person got their food. Nothing for me. The chef came out of the kitchen to chat to the guy. I heard him say you all done. Then looked at me, when to check the orders. Then spoke to the chef. Shot back in the kitchen, 5-10 mins later my food arrived, slightly warm. All in all 40 mins to get my food. Not great, considering it was empty. Yet again, proving premier inns are going downhill. Unless it's an in-house restaurant or still a restaurant open to the public, the service is bad. Lack of staff. Nothing is premier,...
Read moreA proper outstanding stay at Premier Inn Castle Marina
Just had a fantastic stay with me mates at Premier Inn Nottingham Castle Marina and couldn't be happier with our choice! The location is absolutely perfect - right by the picturesque marina with lovely canal views, yet just a short walk to Nottingham Castle and the city center. Shoutout to the door lady Alice !!
Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly staff who provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Our room was exactly what you'd expect from Premier Inn - spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-designed. The signature Hypnos bed lived up to its reputation - we had some of the best sleep of our trip!
The marina location is a real highlight - it's so peaceful and scenic, perfect for evening strolls along the water. We loved being able to walk to the castle and explore the historic area, while also having easy access to the tram system for getting around the wider city.
The on-site restaurant served a great breakfast to start our days of sightseeing, and the staff throughout our stay were consistently helpful and professional. Everything was well-maintained and the value for money was excellent.
Premier Inn consistently delivers quality accommodation, and this Castle Marina location is no exception. Perfect base for exploring Nottingham - we'll definitely be back on our next visit to the area. Highly highly...
