Popped in for a coffee only around 11ish on a Wednesday. Ended up having a "festive vegan sausage and cranberry ciabata" as well. Lots of quirky seating space, most have their power points as well. Food is freshly prepared with lots of vegan options (not that I am vegan but I don't think you have to be vegan to eat vegan food and I do). Coffee is great, crafted with care. The place will get busy during uni times around lunchtime. And outside uni time it will operate on shorter hours. In the summer - in other words one July morning between 11am and 1142 and then an early afternoon in August on a Wednesday - you can sit outside as well and gaze at the boating lake and the park forelornly.

Lovely cafe in the student union building. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Stylish ambience and good beverages. Ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and it was delicious! Reccomend to try it during non peak hours due to long queue.

Their drinks are really good, but weirdly enough most of the food items don’t have a price displayed, just the name so you don’t know what you’ll end up paying. The atmosphere is really nice tho.

Lovely coffee which I had been buying three times a week but I find myself lamenting the change in discount policy for reusable cups. Before they charged 20p more than the advertised price to use a disposable cup and 20p less for using a reusable cup when taking away- a fair policy which allows the business to profit from those damaging the environment and provides incentive to reduce waste. I decided to spend £10 on their reusable cup motivated by helping the environment but noting that I would have to buy 25 coffees before it actually made sense economically. To my despair I found out that using one's own reusable cup incurs the same cost as buying a coffee and sitting in, thus providing less incentive to buy a reusable cup as one only saves 20p as opposed to 40p overall per coffee. I was informed that it is 'unfair on the people who sit in' who pay 20p more (the advertised price). This means one now has to buy 50 coffees to make themselves economically better off than before. The policy is preposterous as it does not take into account the fact taking away coffee frees up space for other customers and incurs less operation costs (less washes through dishwasher, electricity etc.). This move strikes me as money-grabbing and careless insofar as the environment is concerned. I will not buy my coffee here again until this policy is reversed and have encouraged by friends who buy coffee regularly here...

The coffee is lovely. But, the queue time is terrible. They need to adopt a more efficient production line behind the counter, similar to other more mainstream coffee outlets. As it stands the person who serves you also does your coffee etc, which works well in smaller less busy environments. They need to have set staff on taking orders and these orders need to be passed to dedicated staff for food and coffee...
