We went to the British Museums travelling exhibition on Ancient Iraq;New Discoveries. The archaeology of Iraq was beautifully and fascinatingly displayed. The artefacts were interesting and absolutely stunning. The exhibition was laid out in a figure eight rather than the usual clockwise but the incredibly friendly and knowledgable museum assistants were able to direct us to get the most information and see the exhibition in its best suggested route. We found a further photographic exhibition for local Nottinghamshire architecture, which was nice to see, as well. it did seem a little weirdly spaced near the Iraq exhibition. Although, we later learned that it had opened early and was due to officially open after the Iraq archaeology exhibition was closed. So we got to see two exhibitions at the same time! Winning! There was a little cafe to grab some light refreshments after taking your time having a good look through both the main hall and the additional exhibition space. And there was a small shop with locally handcrafted gift options and some great books about the local area and the exhibition. The only confusing part (as someone who had never been before) was that a further exhibition space was in the rotunda which was only accessible through the gift shop (if you started at the main entrance) and passed a lot of offices. Thankfully I had a local with me and they guided me through the experience. If you ask the staff at the shop they will be able to direct you through the building to see more and local archaeological and historical artefacts. All in all it was an enjoyable and well worth a visit.

Part of the Nottingham University site and the Lakeside Centre. Been here today to see the FREE Viking exhibition. Fantastic display of information and practical exhibits to see. Lots of different events on throughout the year, great venue. Small cafe on site selling drinks and nibbles, toilets and a small shop. Car park however is pathetic, my advice is park the car at the Toton Tram park, which is free, and take the tram

Had a lovely time visiting the "Counter Culture" exhibition. Absolutely fascinating! Boots has become an institution on High Streets across the UK and beyond. Visiting this exhibition has taught me a great deal and allowed me to reminisce even more! The cafe was lovely too, fantastic fruit scones & delicious coffee. Oh and the gift shop is great too! Highly recommend this lovely gallery, go visit! You won't regret it.

I came here afew times back in 2013 or 14 around the time the tram lanes were being built and there was this one asian female that worked behind the cafe till, she looked indian or pakistani that used to always have her boyfriend there and I never really spoke to her other than to order something to eat, she would speak to me with a disdain and very cheeky attitude for no apperent reason. She would sit down to flirt with her boyfriend and would both be giggling like little children while looking at me repeatedly. I felt like I was unwelcome and was being disrespected for no reason at all, I chose never to return ever again after that and never ever really bothered with the place until earlier when I drove past and those memories came back, it gave me a anxiety attack and even now I feel anxious just by remembering this place. I will not recommend anyone going to visit...

Nice artwork and I've been to this place a bunch, so I was exited to see the talk by Neil Walker on the 10th of July, however he didn't seem very educated on this exhibition at all. Overall I felt it was a very sloppy explanation leaving out what I felt where key features and causes of the art. Neil Walker did not do the basic research before his talk (in my opinion of course, but I did find more information from the plaques on the wall than his talk). I appreciate this Material Worlds talk was advertised as a " different perspective" however I don't think Neil was informed enough to give an original perspective. I will be back to see the exhibition again and read all the information which I'm sure will leave me much better informed...
