Saracens Cafe — Restaurant in Nottingham

Quite surprised at the half decent reviews as the food is just about average.

Everything is pre cooked and re heated for your order, we ordered a meat platter which advertised king prawns only to find it arrive on our table without any prawns, upon asking management they said the menu hadn’t been updated as they’ve removed prawns from the dish yet failed to advise us about this, an apology was given but nevertheless it’s not good enough from a customer service point of view, management should know better, you can’t falsely advertise dishes, every single meat element was bland with absolutely no flavour.

The desi nachos were bland and only thing that made it desi was some chopped chillies and bland chicken tikka.

We had a chicken biryani requested hot, this came out in a small balti dish cold and had to be sent back, the only thing which made this hot was I believe they take a portion of rice and mix it with chilli power, it tasted overpowering with chilli & no real authentic flavour.

The interior of the restaurant looks nothing like the pictures, it’s run down and worn out, the sofa seats have rips, burns and stains on them.

The music selection is confusing, so many different genres all played within a 30 minute space, you don’t know if you’re in a restaurant, night club or massage parlour.

We were all very impressed with the top quality service we received (it was some of our first time at that place and we all keep talking about how impressed we are). Deffo will recommend and will be returning customers in shaa Allah.
