Attended the Ball and Boe Concert - very busy and excellent management of ticket holders attending prior to entry into main complex. Arena very busy and little opportunity for distancing. Having taken seats looked forward to event. Then the drunken group turned up late in the block we were seated in - most in the block couldn’t help noticing them arrive late and taking their seats - drinks in hand - very rowdy and no masks. You like to give people a chance - but after ten minutes of noise and many other guests turning around to see what was going on they were asked politely to quieten down and wear their masks - “but we don’t need them” they replied proudly presenting a variety of drinks! Others in the block wore masks and only when drinking removed them for a short time. It was very clear that they were in no mood to respect others attending the event. One claimed to know the rules as they worked as an H&S officer ( worrying!) whilst all rules are down to interpretation most people understand the difference between holding a drink and drinking - but unfortunately alcohol can affect one’s reasoning! We saw no stewards come forward to challenge this group although they sang and shouted continually- shame some people have no respect for others - clearly impact of this group affected quite an area of the audience. Despite their actions though very impressed with performance and the technical support by their crew...

I’ve never been to a sports match before so this was a total first for me, and all I can say is…. I WILL BE BACK!

From turning up at the venue, there were loads of staff to point us in the right direction, it all felt very safe and well planned.

There were plenty of food and drink options, veggie, savoury, and sweet. As expected for a big venue, it was a little more than you’d pay elsewhere but it wasn’t excessive (it definitely wasn’t London prices!!).

The toilets were well signposted, and weren’t too far away from any point in the arena, and everything was really accessible.

The game we watched was the Nottingham Panthers vs UQTR Patriots, and when I say this was a show rather than a sports game, I mean it! The music, the entertainment in the break periods, competitions, the audience camera moments, and the appropriate music choices were absolutely brilliant - in fact, the music playing was so good I did say to my partner I’d come back just for that!

Something I will say that I didn’t know before - do bring cash if you’d like to enter any of the prize draws on the night. There were 4 draws last night, and I’d have entered all of them to support our local team but I didn’t bring any cash with me to do so. There were plenty of staff around to get tickets from though.

Well done to all players, competition winners, and announcers - absolutely brilliant...

Went to see Ricky Gervais 5/12/24. Booked great tickets 2+ months in advance (through Ticketmaster), sat in our seats - great view front row of Block E 2nd Block back. Fabulous! Would've been able to see the size of Ricky's wallet!! However, we were told that Ticketmaster had made a mistake and shouldn't have sold us those seats as they weren't theirs to sell, and that we should've had an email. Sure enough we had had an email ONE HOUR BEFORE (that we didn't see because we were travelling to the show) without so much as an apology saying that we should've been in row AA at the back of Block E. Ermm no - we chose these seats when we booked the tickets! Anyhow, because of Motorpoint Staff we missed the whole of the support act as they insisted we move to our 'actual seats' and we ended up standing there then because someone else had been temporarily sat in our seats while the support act was on!! While Ricky Gervais was great, we could then only see him on the big screen which was not what we had booked and paid for. Interestingly the show had been sold out, but at a similar time to the email from Ticketmaster Motorpoint Arena released some more tickets which we suspect were our row - too much of a coincidence methinks. So far Ticketmaster and Motorpoint have refused to compensate but we won't be letting it...

Recently came here for Torvill and Dean last dance show. I have to say the staff are very helpful. But the place is not set up for people with disabilities having somewhere to go and eat! We got there 10 minutes after doors opened! Hour and a half before the start of the show. Hoping to go to the cafe for food! There was nowhere to sit and was packed with people. There is the food outlets around the outside of the stadium but they were not all open so only had fish and chips or hotdogs to choose from! Then there is no seating to eat! When you have crutches to juggle and food and drink it is almost impossible! So tried to go to our seating. Thanks to some lovely people behind us they helped us get to our seats safely. We won’t be eating there again it’s not set up for enough people to sit outside the stadium seating. Other than that the staff are very helpful and really enjoyed the show. They could do with more disabled toilets especially when there were so many of us with I can’t wait cards standing there for just one of them.
