Read moreA beautiful space. Okay, its not York or Canterbury, but it sits on a high hill in the city crowded around with Georgian houses (and buildings from the 1800's lace-making times, so check out the Adams building too). The church has loads of history so read about it prior to or during your visit. Afterwards pop-in to St. Peters' church too. Check out the wealth difference where St Peters' is for the plebs and St Mary is for the 'posh'. St Marys has a super choir and orchestra; worth looking out for an event. Oh! and temperature-wise its usually a warm church too. I hope you...
Read moreBeautiful church. Open to public and has toilets as well. Self guided tour here, go on a weekday and you will have church to your self. Massive windows with a different saint in each window in stained glass form. Exterior of church is wonderfuly cared for. Wish I could attend a service here at the height of its use. Will come back again to...
