Spicy House — Restaurant in Nottingham

Spicy House restaurant opened about three months ago. The food is amazing! If you don't know about Szechuan cuisine and are hesitant about having food that is hot from chili peppers, tell the proprietors - they can make any dish to be mild. Also, the proprietors, can recommend dishes to you if the menu which has 157 offerings seems too hard to decipher.

The beef noodles in sour soup (#118), mapo tofu (#38), fish filets in hot and spicy sauce (#13), shredded cucumber in chili sauce (#7), Dongbei-style sweet & sour crispy pork (#99) and my total favorite - Sliced beef shin in hot and spicy sauce (#4) were all delicious, complex and fantastic. My photos do not do the food justice. We also had some dumplings that I loved.

THE WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. I was first suspicious when my order came in 10 minutes (including time for it to be cooked and delivered - how shocking!) as food should be made fresh! Once I took my food out of the bag I almost FAINTED at the sight! I order fried rice and I was given was white rice with brown sauce, broccoli and poor quality meat! The chicken I ordered was SO salty and chewy I couldn’t dare to have another bite. I love prawns so much but with prawns I ordered I’m not sure if I’ll ever eat it again, it was salt and pepper prawns but in reality it was more salt than anything. I’m so tired of Chinese restaurants in Nottingham robbing genuine customers with subpar food! I will NEVER be ordering from this restaurant again. Would I ever recommend this to someone else? I wouldn't even recommend...

Reheated food, so it's dry and overcooked. The chowmein had no flavour what so ever ended up adding soy sauce garlic and ginger just to make it somewhat eatable infact its the only ghing we ate. £11 2 bags of chips for them to be twice cooked, i dont know why some restaurants think they can still get away with that....... we can tell they are dry, darker and shrivel a bit, we did not eat them. The beef and chicken both dry and tuff, we could not eat this. Yeah Highly recommend to AVOID this place, so many better Chinese...
