Wollaton Courtyard Café — Restaurant in Nottingham

They are handling social distancing well. Currently operating as take away only but there are an appropriate number of tables in the courtyard to keep groups separate. There are plenty of other places to sit throughout the grounds should all the tables be taken. We went on a busy day and didn't struggle at all.

They have a one way system in place inside throughout the stables and a good queuing layout separate from those on the way to the toilets (only one member of our group went in to order so I can't comment fully on that bit).

Similarly the toilets have clear markings for where to queue.

Visited the park with some adult special needs learners. I purchased my food and paid £15 by card. A few seconds later I was shouted back by the woman and informed she had not charged me enough and I now had to pay an extra 50p, this was in front if a queue of people waiting. I was totally embarrassed. Then a learner who was trying to pay, with cash, for his goods, but was informed she had very little money in the till. I asked how he was supposed to pay, to which she shrugged and said with a card. There is good coffee and biscuits there but everything is overpriced. The staff there is far from being polite. They serve hot drinks in paper mugs which is not only crude but also is a threat to the environment. Who with the right mind could have invented this? Over 20 million trees are cut down each year to produce single-use paper cups.
