Bbq'd Restaurant — Restaurant in Oldham

I went here for a catch-up with friends and although the food was nice , I am very disappointed with their customer service and I have never been to a place where the manager is so rude. On arrival my friends were welcomed in a rude manner by the manager and when I arrived later than my friends I came to find that the table they had confirmed that needed to be for 8 people had been made into a 6 person table despite the fact that my friends occupied the table already . Once i was finally provided a seat with my friends and had placed my order, the manager then approached me and my friends once again and claimed that we had spent too long in the restaurant when we had not and as there was an offer for half price today , it seemed he was overcome by greed after seeing the queue outside and then suggested to us that we should take out our food even though we had not finished it and also claimed that it was ‘unfair’ that he had to turn away customers because we had not finished eating . As a customer who has experience in other restaurants it was easy to acknowledge the fact that this was an unacceptable way to treat customers. Thankfully one employee treated us just as any one else and treated us fairly as he would to any customer and this is why i rated this place 2 stars .Us as girls from the younger generation seemed to be treated unfairly and were disrespected in this way by the manager due to us being young girls. I hope this issue...

When we arrived we were greeted and seated very quickly. Good variety of food available, from what is written on the menu, and staff were friendly too.

The starters overall were decent, but the time it took to get them was too long. Took around 30 mins to get starters, whilst we were the only dine-in customers and during that time they had managed to prepare 2-4 different phone/takeaway orders so not sure if they’ve got their priorities straight. The taste of the starters overall was somewhat good, but the temperature was just warm. Had one bite of a chicken wing and it tasted off, so didn’t bother finishing them.

Mains were a let down to be honest. The Philly cheese steak burger was served in a black bun, something that was not mentioned on the menu, and the beef seemed to be prepared in some sort of sweet chilli sauce. Likewise, the Philly cheese steak wrap also had the same sweet chilli beef. If anything we were expecting to be asked what peri flavour we would like for the beef used in the burger and wrap, but that did not happen. The food portions are quite generous, and would be better a better experience if you have taste buds for sweet chilli beef.

Not sure if we just got unlucky with the food we ordered or if something went wrong on their end.

Based of this experience, I would not recommend this to my friends & family, and probably will not be returning...

Visited my sister from Leeds to Manchester and then travelled to Oldham to eat out. Excellent food, can't complain about the portion size etc. Unfortunately, one of the staff let the team down as he abruptly moaned about us adding a chair to the table hence narrowing the path. Yes I understand it might have caused a little inconvenience but it was late on the evening and it was dead inside with 1 or 2 customers eating in. Did he really need to make a fuss? It put us on the edge and close to walking out! The waiter, really needs to get training in customer service on use of his language and tone of voice carefully. Would have been 5 Star 🌟 if it wasn't for him. He soon cheered up when he realised what we ordered as it was a big bill and the saviour was the second waiter who was excellent 👏 saved the review from...
