Myself and my work colleagues have been to Your restaurant several times and always had an amazing meal but 21st July was totally different after booking and phoning to confirm we arrived to be told our group of 20/25 people couldn't be seated together due to another large part of 40 teenagers and nd their tennis coaches who I must say had no respect for other people in the restaurant and were running around a acting more like 4 year olds .the food well what food, it was basic slop when a colleague of mine asked why the food was so bad she was told it was to suit the larger party as they had been in every day (so why wasn't this mentioned when I made the the booking and conformation ) after a while the food was returned to what it should be but by then our evening had be ruined the so called manager agreed to give us 20% off the bill and a free drink for all in our party as an apology which was kind of him , But after we had all started to eat the better food he then approach my colleague he had spoken to and tried to say that we were now only having the free drink my colleague processed to explain that it was a retirement party that had now be spolit by the lack of food and communication she was then accused of trying to Blackmail the manager into giving us the discount back which he had already promised us ,he was very rude and it took another member of staff to talk to his manager and from what we could tell give him a telling off . He then returned to our table and said we could have the discount after all ! This really ruined our evening when the booking was made you as a restaurant should of explained that the menu had be changed to suit the needs of the larger party and could our party please choose a later time to arrive when the buffet food would be back to normal. Stayed in Oxford for a few days to get out of london. Saw that this was a halal buffet that’s is currently a takeaway due to Covid and was keen to try it. I ordered the crispy chilli beef, chicken with mushroom and the chicken Penang curry and 2 egg fried rice. It was DELICIOUS! First, they had 20% off on orders over £15, so I spent about £27 (minus delivery) which was reasonable for the amount of food I ordered (plenty for 2 people, enough for 3). In comparison I ordered 2 noodles from Pan Pan, which wasn’t very good, was £24 (minus delivery) and didn’t feel like enough food for two people. Second, the curries were really tasty, seasoned just right, not oily and the veg was cooked perfectly with a good crunch and flavour. Third, it was the fastest delivery, it got to me in 40 mins where other deliveries were over an hour. Really loved the food and will definitely visit again after Covid to try out the buffet. From the reviews read online last night, we used the pay and display car park behind the adjacent Tesco Metro. Upon arrival, we were offered drinks and took our table. The interior was contemporary and fresh, very clean looking and the staff were very helpful and always within reach. The food, clearly separated by Indian, Chinese and Thai catagories was not overcooked, neither was it raw. There was always someone from the kitchen coming out to top up or stir the food, my partner and I tried most of the offerings and were thoroughly satisfied.
