Although I love the offerings here, they're not comparable to my favourite which is Bobar in London. Here's why:
In Cha make their Brown Sugar Bubble Milk tea in a single 'regular' size. This is poor value if you LOVE bubble tea, like I do, are are used to buying a large size whilst in London. I feel forced In Cha to buy two to get my twice weekly bubble fix! Quite cheeky of the store to only produce one size.
I spoke to a gentleman on the phone about this, they said they have no plans to ever make a larger size, despite the fact that they offer larger sizes in other teas and are fully capable of making it larger.
Their reasoning? Because it would mess up their recipe because they "can't simply add the same quantities into a larger cup" !! He talked extensively about how he needs to add more topica balls, and more syrup, and more milk.
What?! Surely, as a chef, i know It's simply a case of scaling up the recipe by way of percentages! It's not a Coq au Vin!
I offered to help implement a larger size offering. He declined my offer.
I think I'll be going to the many other bubble tea shops in Oxford to get a larger sized option, at a more...
Read moreGot the black sugar milk tea and wow!! It was actually really delicious :) They had a lot of different flavors that I have not seen at other bubble tea places. The shop is currently cash only but the staff member said he will have card machine soon. It will be better if they can have a website and publicize it more since I only found out about this place by walking past it. Having bamboo straw and allowing people to bring their container will be better for the environment as well. The staff member was lovely and made us feel very welcome!!...

When I asked him what drink he would recommend, he said he really couldnât recommend anything from the menu and that it depends on the customerâs preferences. Even though he was telling the truth, it wasnât the right moment to say thatâespecially when a customer was asking for a recommendation and trying to choose from...
