Taylors Deli St Giles — Restaurant in Oxford

The next door neighbour to another Taylor’s with deli and pantry items, paninis, baguettes and samosas. The Taylor’s next door has salad, soup, curry and pasta. So for hot food, head there!

We found the prices here at the deli to be a bit cheaper than Pret. Two sandwiches, a drink and a samosa came to £15.

The cheddar baguette I ordered was really fresh and made to order! It was very good, I would have liked a bit more cheese though! I would try Cajun chicken next. The prosciutto and pesto panini was also perfectly heated and tasty! Although it didn’t look like much again. There was some nice outdoor seating under the awning outside.

Overall, it surpasses Pret in certain areas and ticks all the boxes for a sandwich. The fillings could be more generous but the experience was...

If you’re looking for a local, busy and fresh Sandwich stop. Then look no further, The overall Taylor’s experience was initially shocking… as the queue was literally out the door!

As you walk in the shop hosts multiple named and non named brands to purchase along side your fresh product of choice, with pre made fillings and a plethora of drink variety which is becoming less and less now days at other stores!

The staff seemed pleasant, but of course it’s a very short and sweet visit which for someone looking for lunch to pop in and out I could hardly grumble!

Whilst the food is good their definition of "large" is ridiculous. Why would you let a 6'6" man buy a chickpea Dahl that said "large" that's barely the size of his fist for £5 with no warning, and I was expecting rice. At least put calories on the menu. Better quality and twice the portion from Sainsbury's or Tesco for half the price.

Also put signs on the floor and figure out queuing because it's a free for all in there. Couldn't return it because I was in a rush at my lunch hour and the effort to deal was too much.

Only for rich kids and staff, completely unaffordable for what you get.
