Let's start with the good. The place looks stunning, lovely little touches such as the guitar that is connected to a pulley system on the door which goes up and down when you open and close the door gives you the feel you're somewhere genuinely alternative and that a lot of thought has gone into the place and hats off to the owners for that. Also I’m well partial to a bit of Sangria and that went down very well. I didn’t get the opportunity to try the food (so ignore the rating) as it was really busy but the fact it was as busy as it was suggests to me that side of the business must be going well.

Now the bad. As you walk into the premises the bar is directly in front of you. On the right hand side there was space to stand but sadly, it had been reserved for a party despite the fact there was plenty of space. On the left, there's the eating area and then yet more space which we were told we couldn't stand in because of the few seconds delay we caused to the people bringing the food through. This message was relayed to us by a rather rude Italian manager who at the very least treated us a tad better than he did his staff. Just.

So you’re left with the front of the bar where you can all do an impression of sardines stuck in a tin can. Considering the sheer number of people who walked in, tried standing on the left and right and then gave up and left, you’d think reserving space for parties would actually be counterproductive. Even if it isn’t, the way the manager behaves will inevitably drive trade away eventually.

I won’t...

Usually go there just as a bar and fits the bill on a pub crawl... but is much more! Scratch the surface and you'll find it's a Spanish Tapas bar with some lovely dishes and drinks. Half price at the moment for Tapas from 5pm - 7pm (Tier 2)!

Had the following: DRINKS Estrella beer (see photo) - was nice enough. My mate had 3. Mayador Syder / Cider (see photo) - really not nice - only cider on the menu though. Hot Chocolate with a shot of Amaretto (special request) - hit the spot - hot chocolate was gorgeous and the mix worked a treat. 7/10 - cider needs improving

TAPAS (Vegan) Most of their stuff was meaty, but the menu worked for us vegans even so. Tatas Bravas (left dish of food photo) - quite tasty. Butter bean mix - quite good. Bread and Hummous - very tasty (right and centre of the food photo I took). 7/10 - good value given half price, but could do with more options

Overall good as a place to chill on a pub crawl and open for eat in during Tier 2 lockdown. Hope they survive and thrive and just need more boldness on their plant-based dishes and ciders to bring this back up to their...

I used to love this place. I actually was shocked when I went in today.

We walked in, no one said hello or acknowledged us, we then went to stand and wait to be seated. Stood there for about 5 mins still no hello.

There was a wait, which is fine so we went to sit at the bar and get a drink The girl behind the bar didn't say hello, no drink was offered. We had to ask if we could be served, we were then told wait a minute and then the best bit was when the girl behind the bar asked us if we could pass the customer behind us their drink wooow. I was gobsmacked. The attitude was unreal.

Finally got told we had one option for a table. Did we want it. Anyway, the whole night was a joke, the service was terrible. I'm pretty sure they did something to our food as there was a long hair in one of the dishes, which we just didn't touch.

The guy who owns the place and Coco etc seems (from what I've read) to blame covid, LTNS for the decline in customers etc. It's not covid, it's ur staff, their attitude and the not so great tapas.

Avoid...

The restaurant is cool, set out in a Moroccan style with clay pots, ornate iron lanterns, mosaic tiled tables and bench seats. Even the render on the walls is a beautiful orange and is cracked and weathered like it’s super heated in the African sun. The food is Tapas and is decent, the plates were not the best I’ve ever had but they were not in any way bad. In fact the only real criticism I had with the food was with a plate of fried vegetables, there was a whole side of pepper which we struggled to portion up without making a mess of the oily dish all over the table. The waiting staff were good, they were mostly native Spanish I think which gave an authentic twist. Toilets were reasonable. Prices were also reasonable. This place is definitely worth the experience.

Cool place with excellent atmosphere and some level of access. So, you can get a chair in here with help (double doors need opening) and if you do then the food and atmosphere will make it worth it. So, first things first. Food: lots of amazing tapas available here for sharing and everything tastes great! You can have cocktails and quite a large selection of alcohol. The music is great. There are seats outside and inside and the side windows open up so that you've got breeze or sun. Atmosphere: this place has a bar type of feel even in the day. But it's relaxed. Not a place for dancing or anything and not sleepy. Food comes fast and music is relatively low but still bar style. A lot of manu chao and similar. Service: excellent all day all the time.
