The Chippy — Restaurant in Plymouth

This place opened and it seemed the place to go, the food was very nice indeed. It's seems, like alot of places when their footfall increases they tend to have fallen backwards. Chips are now bits of potato and I ordered a large fish and a large chips, my partner a medium fish and chips. The large fish isn't a large fish anymore. Her medium was the same size as my large. You get a very long fish but very thin! We laughed about it so it was money well spent in that regard, we'll never go back. Seems you just have to find the new chip shops that are keen to impress in the beginning and then keep hunting. Real shame though it did...

Great prices and food is always cooked fresh plus staff are always trying to help.

Had this place many times and always loved it with the friends/family.

Recently I went in for 3x family feast and the food was above perfect but we had a problem with the chicken burger being stripe burgers. But the owner gave me a bell and sorted this out with no hassle which we all appreciate. Many thanks Chippy and please stay safe and keep smashing it 👍

How do you score the atmosphere in a chip shop? Friendly staff? Yes! Clean? Yes! We visit this chip shop once a month as we pick up a meal deal for our daughter who lives in supported living. We like to eat with her and I absolutely love their fish! It's the best chippy Fish in Plymouth! The chips are great too but oh, their fish! Cooked perfectly with a nice crispy batter.
