We visited Justasia on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 PM, and even at that time, the restaurant was quite busy — always a good sign. Despite the crowd, we were seated quickly, and it was great to see they have additional seating available at the back.
From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful with recommendations. Our waitress, who we believe is part of the family behind the business, was especially hospitable and knowledgeable. You can really feel that this is a family-run restaurant, with staff who genuinely care about the experience they're providing. We even spoke briefly with some of the kitchen staff, and they were just as lovely and welcoming.
We ordered the Iced Ube Latte, Calamansi Iced Tea, Tapsilog (Filipino Pan-Set Beef), and spring rolls — every dish was packed with authentic flavor and beautifully prepared. The Tapsilog was especially satisfying, and the drinks were both refreshing and unique. Everything we tried hit the spot.
It’s also worth noting that all the food is halal, which is a huge plus for those with dietary requirements. The restaurant is child-friendly as well — they offer high chairs, making it a comfortable choice for families.
In terms of pricing, I found it to be fair and reasonable considering the quality of the food and service.
Overall, Justasia delivers an excellent combination of delicious Filipino cuisine, warm service, and a welcoming environment. Highly recommended — we’ll...
Read moreA Heartwarming Filipino-Indian Culinary Stop in Portsmouth. A perfect stop before heading the Isle of Wight or after disembarking the ferry on your way home.
If you're on your way to the Isle of Wight and looking for a truly memorable food stop, this Filipino-Indian restaurant in Portsmouth is an absolute must-visit. Owned by a warm and welcoming Filipino-Indian couple, the place is a reflection of their heritage, hospitality, and love for home-cooked food. Abd, hid wife along with their children were one of the warmest restaurant owners I’ve met.
What makes this spot stand out is the authenticity and freshness of every dish. Everything is prepared and cooked fresh to order—from the bold, comforting flavors of chicken adobo, kaldereta, silog varieties and kare-kare, to the aromatic richness of Indian classics like butter chicken and biryani. The unique blend of Filipino and Indian influences makes this place one of a kind.
The portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and the hospitality is unmatched, you’ll feel more like a guest at a family gathering than a customer at a restaurant.
Don’t leave without trying their homemade ube ice cream and halo-halo; creamy, vibrant, and hands-down one of the best in the UK. Whether you’re Filipino, Indian, or just a foodie looking for something special, this gem in Portsmouth is a perfect pre-ferry stop that satisfies both the heart and the stomach.
A big and spacious of at least 20-seater table is available that could...
Read moreThe customer service at this place is accommodating and they are every attentive to their customers. The place is small and cosy but not ideal if you come on a busy day with a big group, if you want to go with more than 4 people I advice you to call them and let them know so that they are prepared.
The food was good I was a little disappointed in the Longsilog as I expected it to be sweet but it was just beef mince rolled into a sausage, however the other food that we ordered was really good. The Ube Latte was delicious, the palabok was tasty and we really enjoyed the Talongsilog which was an egg omelette with egg plant. The pancit was good just a little salty but that could have just been my taste bud. The Bangus with garlic fried rice, you couldn't go wrong with especially if you enjoy white fish, if they added a nice vinegar sauce on the side with some chilli I think would have made the dish perfect but that's just my preference.
All in all the place is a very nice place to go to with family and friends. The Halo-Halo is a great dessert to have at the end. I highly recommend others to try this place out. The place is Halal. As for parking you can park at Lidl which is opposite for an hour and then there are some side roads which you could park at but you would need to...
