My honest review after spending a couple of days in Portsmouth: We were eagerly searching for a Habesha restaurant. Our journey was specifically to indulge in Habesha cuisine, and we tried a variety of dishes including ሽሮ Shiro, ኣዋዘ ጥብሲ Awaze Tibsi, ደረቅ ጥብሲ Dereq Tibsi, and እንጀራ ቋንጣ ፍትፍት Qanta Fitfit, as well as በብዓይነቱ Beya Aynetu. The presentation of the food was impressive. It was my first experience with Tibsi meat served with bones, which I found quite unusual. However, the Dereq Tibsi was outstanding, and the Shiro was even more delicious. The Qanta Fitfit was also delightful, but the Injera in all our dishes was a bit of a letdown, particularly in the Injera Qanta Fitfit, which didn’t meet my expectations. The Beya Aynetu was good, though I’m not particularly fond of it, and some components didn’t seem fresh. Overall, the experience was great. The ambiance of the place was appealing, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms was a significant plus. The service was exceptional, and the prices were reasonable compared to other Habesha restaurants.

Lovely little place, the food is absolutely fantastic caters for most food types from meat to vegan. I had the vegetarian sample plate with injera which is a type of pancake. My friend who has onion allergy had a separate dish made just for her which was also fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. They were welcoming and helpful. The prices are very good and we had to get the remaining food as takeaway as we were so full. If you are looking for something completely different and tasty I couldn't recommend this place enough and I can't wait to return. Thanks

Brilliant little spot with amazing prices and food. The service is friendly and welcoming and makes you feel like you're in a family restaurant. The food is delicious with a great spice and a unique flavour you can't find anywhere else in Portsmouth. I have been here twice now and enjoyed both the key tibs and doro wot and I look forward to trying their wide range of vegetarian dishes too. The juices they stock are also great pairings with the food and are sold at supermarket price. Everyone should try this quaint little restaurant.
