Really don't know what to make of our visit and can only comment on our experience. Popped by today for a relatively early lunch. On entering there was no creating, no smiles, wnor atmosphere, just a huffy 'gave you booked?'. When we said 'no' we again got a sigh and mutter about decking with manager (there were 8 customers) The manager then gruffly mumbled at us and showed us to a table. The place was really quite cold as the air con was on and colder in than out (severe thunder storm with possible hail firecast) We were now somewhat trepadous, however, we ordered drinks and food. Staff bar one just looked miserable and it seemed a little odd that only one was dressed in full pirate outfit and the others in normal clothes, not that it mattered just seemed not one thing or another. When food came I was taken aback as ordered philly cheese with chips and husband same but with nachos. We both had to look to find the steak, although chips were hot the 5 measly strips (I mean seriously measly) of rubbery overcooked steak were cold. Same for my husband, cold nachos with 5 tiny bits of cold steak. I couldn't eat most of mine as it was just a big bowl of chips with sauce chucked on and two bits of steak were so chewy I left em. I asked waitress how much steak is usually in the dish. Now at this point you would hope the staff would ask if there was a problem. WRONG , her response was a curt 'as much as there was on it' and of she walked. It really was an expensive bowl of chips at £13. In fairness other food looked better coming out of the kitchen so maybe we made a dud choice, even so customer service was pretty atrocious with a not remotely interested attitude. The place was still only 50% full at most on our leaving so not really busy and there was plenty of staff. It was just a real...

We booked a table of 5 for my husbands birthday. We were seated at our table and the waitress came over to collect our drinks order quickly which was great. The waiter then returned with our drinks but they did not have my husbands first choice of beer (Cruzcampo), they also needed to return to the bar because they forgot my drink. Less than 5 minutes later we saw others on other tables drinking the beer they had told my husband they didn't have.

Our dinner arrived quickly but the burger my sister received (Sail the seven cheese) was extremely dry. The lamb kebab I ordered was overcooked and chewy. However everyone else's meals were lovely.

We finished our dinner the waiter came over to take my name and informed me that we had been put on the wrong table and that we had 10 mins before the people for the table would arrive. Making us feel like we had to leave! He returned 2 mins later saying we could stay on the table but we had been put in the wrong place.

The waitress the came over to take another drinks order. Only half of us ordered before she dashed off to get the order and we still had drinks to order.

Finally we ordered pudding: 1x Cheesecake 1x loaded brownie 1x loaded brownie to share (this was very good!)

Only the cheese cake and the sharer turned up and when I asked where the other one was I was told "oh I thought you were sharing that one". I requested another brownie which the waiter did not seem to be overly impressed with. Shortly after the missing pudding arrived however it was another sharer (again not what we ordered). However I was unable to tell him because he dropped the pudding off and scurred off.

It is safe to say that I will not be returning or recommending...

Went for some food before work with my mother. Got the last 2 seats and sat down to order. Couldn’t really understand any of the menu or drinks; we ended up ordering 2 drinks (alcoholic) for Ā£11 each, along with mac and cheese for Ā£6?, and 2 burgers for about Ā£17 each. Both the drinks came fast but thats where the 1st issue comes up, I’m 18, and barely look over 16, and the law is ā€œchallenge 25ā€ I wasn’t asked for any ID. Mac and cheese came out and it was perfectly fine, giving us high hopes on the rest. Waited about 30 more minutes for our food, and when it came out it was inedible, the burger tasted nothing of beef and was orange?? We touched none of it and had to go up to the manager ourselves after waiting 15 minutes for someone to ā€˜checkup’ on us, the manager basically said nothing and we sat down again and waited for the bill. When given the bill, there was nothing taken off and they still expected us to pay for both burgers despite them not being touched and after being informed of the issue. No one then came back to us for another 10 minutes. Eventually we stood up and talked to the manager again, refusing to pay for the 2 burgers, eventually they did it in a huff and dismissed us. Definitely not going again, the service was just horrible even if there was redeeming qualities.

If you don’t wanna be asked for ID, this is the...

Having tried out the Southsea venue a heap of times I was excited and keen to visit the new Port Solent site! We went along in Saturday. Booking for food is essential, even outside of weekends! Drinks tables (if you don't mind being outside) tend to be a bit more available. The Port Solent venue is awesome, from the barrel tables and stools outside, the greenery and captains ship table, pirate statues and memorabilia dotted all over the place. It feels like they've taken the idea and added steroids! It was also awesome to see one of the girls in full pirate outfit, added a bit extra to the experience. Shame more weren't dressed up! The food and drink menu again feels like a scale up on the original venue. Good from around the world of pirate ports, the galleon sharer is literally a boat load of food! They've added some funky shots to the cocktail as well, oh, and, yoy can give up your shoe as a hostage to get a boot full of beer! Your shoe lives in the crows nest until you've finished your drink! Expect a hefty bill if you want to go and enjoy everything it has to offer, but it's all top quality food and drink! We'll be back again for shore!šŸ˜‰šŸŒŠ

Went here last night and must say was worth it and every penny the staff were amazing service was incredible Danny the bartender I believe is such a laugh and makes the most incredible tasting cocktails and my waiter George was super friendly and helpful love service with a smile I normally feel really anxious going out for food but my experience here was completely different felt really welcome the location is perfect right in the port where the sunset is spectacular they have an outside area which I didn’t try but seems just as incredible as the inside and I love the decoration and the theme made me feel really relaxed as if I was on a Caribbean island. Hats off to the chef / chefs the food was incredible I had the American sharer and it was amazing very generous amount eyes too big for my stomach haha I also tried the crispy beef and it was like heaven in my mouth and the blackbeards Mac is a must try best Mac and cheese I’ve had in while! Over all really pleasant expericane would definitely recommend for a date/family night out or drinks with friends will definitely be coming back!

We came here for a pre-cinema dinner on a whim and were very impressed. I thought menu was really well put together; it had many variations on a small number of popular dishes which made it suitable for a wide scope of tastes. Food arrived very quickly and we both had the ā€˜There She Blows Burger’ which was tasty and very garnished. The burger came with tater tots which I would have happily ordered a bucket of to take into the cinema if I thought I could get away with it. We were just in time for happy hour so we both had a ā€˜Buccaneer’s Margarita’ each which was delicious and perfectly balanced. Service was top-tier. They obviously had a well oiled team who were super friendly and attentive. The venue itself was delightful and fun to eat and drink in. Though you make think a ā€˜pirate’ themed restaurant would cheesy and tacky, the place is incredibly well decorated and tastefully rises to the theme. There’s so much attention to detail, we were very impressed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will certainly be returning.
