The food is cheap and can be ok. BUT despite that one factor there is so much negative things about chesters. The customer service is terrible. When you call them to place an order (despite being a loyal customer for over 5years!) they talk to you like cr*p. One man in particular. No manners who barks at you "order?" which was his idea of asking what I wanted! Once I had a large fly like bug in my food too when it arrives after over an hour...I rang up furious...which was exchanged....no refund which I thought would if been appropriate aswell but no they like to keep their money. I gave them another chance, stupidly. Another time it took over 2hours for food to come...ZERO apology-ZERO GWG to show they did appreciate my long term custom. ZERO us what I'd star them but it won't allow me to. Unfortunately. Recently, the food was delivered to the wrong house, down tbe street from us. Thus had to claw it back myself. Food was replaced causing further delay as it was damaged and cold. Again I had to hint for a GWG. Was told "yeh next time you order we'll sort GWG"....Did not happen. It's just got worse over the years. As long as you pay them and order that's it. No loyalty towards long term customers. Or for any mishap. I have now boycotted chesters. Had enough of being treated like rubbish.. I hope management see this and make major charges in customer care. May be then people wouldn't think negatively of them any more. Treat customers with respect because THEY pay your wages.. It's very disappointing and frustrating when I think of all the money I've paid over the years. Not any more. If you want a good takeaway do Santa's. They are outstanding on every level. Chesters could learn a lot. So the lateness in delivery, the bug in the food, the awful customer service.... ALL the above has now lost them a once loyal customer. They only gave themselves to blame. How they are still open after reading other reviews about raw food is outrageous. Trading standards need calling i think we all agree? Sorry...
Read moreMy husband is an Uber Eats delivery driver and had a really poor experience at this takeaway today. When he entered, he clearly said he was there to pick up an Uber Eats order and even showed the order number ….but the staff completely ignored him and continued serving other customers.
The order was already prepared and ready, yet they refused to give it to him. When he politely asked again, they said there was a separate line for Uber Eats…. something they never mentioned earlier and made no effort to explain. After waiting, my husband asked why he was being ignored and was told, “Nahi denge order, cancel karde order, jo karna hai karle.” (Translation: “We won’t give the order, cancel it, do whatever you want.”)
It was only when he asked to speak to the boss that they finally handed over the order. Their behaviour was rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. Other customers in the shop witnessed this unacceptable treatment.
Delivery drivers don’t get paid to wait unnecessarily ….they are working hard and deserve respect. This kind of attitude reflects very poorly on the business, and I wouldn’t recommend it...
Read moreOrdered through Preston Eats. Delivery driver dropped off a can of Miranda and a cold bag of chips and nothing else.
I rang the shop and they put me on hold for ten minutes. I rang again and they put me on hold for another 15 minutes. I rang again and they told me the immigration department came for some chicken, so I asked if they could simply provide me with the meal I asked for and they told me they could do but they only have one driver and they don't know how long it will take. I then asked again to clarify what they were saying and they said two guys were taken away by the immigration department (?!) So they couldn't talk to me. I said are they able to deliver my owed meal and they said they don't know.
I asked for a refund and they said I could through an app I didn't order through. I just spent £8.50 on some cold fries and a can of pop. I emailed Preston Eats and have no idea whether I'll get a refund. I just wanted a chicken burger through a local takeaway service after a couple of beers before bed. I ended up on a wild adventure and have no idea if I'll get my money back.
Would probably steer clear...
