We have visited this place many times over the past 2 years. The food is really good, authentic and represents the best of what you might get in Mumbai. There is no compromise in spicing levels or flavours to suit local tastes so it may not be for everyone. We however love it so keep going back.
It takes time for them to prepare the food and we are OK with that. The seating has improved but still not as comfortable as it could be. Also there are no toilets.
The owners also run a catering business and we would definitely consider hiring them if we are to organise a big function like a wedding. The food is that good in my opinion and consistently so.
There is some room for improvement regarding quality of service which is inconsistent when owners are not present. Also, many of the items on the menu are not available when we visit. I would suggest to the owners that they have a shorter menu and then have specials available during their busy days or as one-offs.
The only reason I have not given them five stars is that there are a number of areas which need to improve and hopefully the owners recognise this.

I really appreciate her efforts as she was managing all things parallely single handedly but one thing is if 8PM is the closing time and We ordered by 6:15 PM in between she took multiple orders which caused delay for us, which she could have avoided as she already knew the time constraints.
Anyhow, If you are running a restaurant it is the wholesole responsibility of the Owner to manage these things.
I have heard that on weekends they are well prepared but on weekdays if you guys are planning think twice or thrice before even planning as I travelled all the way from East Reading for this and had to wait for 1.5 hrs
My feedback is mainly for the owner who is running this business with...
Read moreFinally a pure vegetarian Indian street food place to grab a quick snack on the Oxford Road. Bonus for the fact that it’s next to Exotic, so I can do my Indian grocery shopping and grab some food on the way home, and not worry about finding parking.
The staff are super friendly, the food is great and the prices are even better, especially if you are after something a bit spicy. Yummy samosas, chaats and the chilli paneer is my son’s favourite item on the menu.
If you are planning to check it out, make sure you try the Dabeli. You will...
