Devils Kitchen — Restaurant in Reading

I got takeaway from this place tonight and let me say i will never and i mean NEVER come back there again. When I was ordering I had been told it would be 10-15 mins however me and my partner had been waiting over 25 mins in the cold as all the delivery drivers had come in the restaurant and let me just say it was a full moon in there (if you don’t understand basically there butt cracks was on show) and in the restaurant under the window there is mild everywhere. When we had received our order we had took it home like anyone else would. When we had opened everything up it was a COMPLETE DISASTER!! The chips was half frozen and half cooked, the chicken burger had 3 different sauces that I had never asked for ( burger, mayonnaise and bbq sauce) like all I had wanted in the burger was mayonnaise like the basic normal chicken burger would have also my partner had ordered the chicken wings and had asked them to be Peri peri however he had gotten like Chinese sticky sauce on them and they was soggy no crunch to them no nothing and it had gotten to late to go back there as we live on the other side of reading. I can honestly say after growing up on the Oxford road for 33 years now this is the worst take away there is in Rg1! Went tonight, ordered a chicken wrap which turned out to be a fat fryer grease ball and 8 peri chicken tenders that might as well have been rat breasts! After missing a bus at 10.30 the staff said it would be 15 minutes max.... 28 minutes later the abominable food wad served and when I asked for a drink for taking so long the staff told me to get out as I had my food. Esting it on the way home I decided to throw 75% of it in the bin as it was disgusting and full of oil!

Quite simply it's an absolute no from me!

They bring shame on the STAR restaurant that used to be there all those years ago and did possibly the best...

Food was late and stone cold when it arrived, uber eats says to contact the restaurant which I do via the chat option on Google. The order arrived on Tuesday night its now Thursday evening and still waiting on a reply from the Devils Kitchen. The only reply I got on Tuesday was we are busy, I have sent messages Wednesday and today, still waiting on a response. Don't waste your time or money or from some where else.

Update, so amazingly after I left this review the restaurant contacted me saying it was the fault of the uber rider and not his responsibility. Shocking customer service, waiting almost 2 days for a response to be told its not there responsibility that me...
