"KYANEEZ" means "DIARRHEA" in Swahili language. CHEAP KEBAB LIKE FROM THE WORST FOOD TRUCK We were in the area with a buddy and decided to drop in for lunch. We ordered two lamb kebabs, one with PITA bread and one with Chips. After waiting 20 minutes for the food, even though the place was empty, I was the first to get my kebab, and my friend got his 10 minutes later when I had almost finished eating. In short, the meat was terribly salty. It was barely edible. The kebab was supposed to be moderately spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. Moreover, the meat was barely warm. And thin as paper... aside from the salt, it felt like chewing on a newspaper. And that too from the bottom shelf... The Sun. The Pita was hard as a rock, I concluded it must have been previously frozen, we got the cheapest kind of pita bread that the biggest cheapskates in the food business buy from the local Brooks at half price, packed in cartons of 300 pieces and all frozen, then defrosted in the microwave and then grilled for a moment. The salad was tasteless... If you can call a mix of old yellow lettuce with tomato a salad. Everything was drenched in the cheapest garlic sauce made with vinegar and salt. No taste of garlic, just salt and vinegar. Packed in a pizza box. We weren't even given a plate, even though we ate on site, so there was no need to wash up. The only thing that was somewhat OK were the Chips. (hence the one star) The place was so cold inside that we decided to wait for the food outside because it would be warmer. And the tiles in the bathroom were laid by someone blind. They're all crooked, and they didn't even remove the grout. Everything here was done on a budget, including the menu. I don't know where these positive reviews come from, but they must be FAKE. I personally do not recommend this place.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I can confidently say it was one of the most enjoyable food experiences I have had in a long time. From the moment the dishes arrived at the table, the freshness was immediately noticeable. Every plate looked vibrant, carefully presented, and prepared with genuine attention to detail. The flavors were outstanding. Each bite carried a balance of seasoning that was neither overwhelming nor bland—just right to let the natural taste of the ingredients shine through. The vegetables tasted crisp and fresh, the meats were tender and perfectly cooked, and even the smallest details, such as sauces and garnishes, felt thoughtfully crafted. It is rare to find a place where every single item stands out, but here, it felt as though freshness was the guiding principle behind the entire menu. Beyond taste, the portions were generous without being excessive, leaving me feeling fully satisfied rather than heavy. The food didn’t just taste delicious; it also felt wholesome and nourishing, which shows the quality of ingredients being used. Another highlight was how consistent the standard was across different dishes. Sometimes restaurants excel in one area but fall short in another, yet here, everything I tried—whether simple or elaborate—was equally impressive. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for food that is fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious, I highly recommend visiting. It is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.

What a delight to have such a restaurant in the heart of Reading. There are a handful of hand-made gourmet burgers now in Reading but none matches the Kyannez way of making it. I think from what we experienced twice during peak rush hours, is that they have perfected the way to make it as a piece of art going thru the science of Burgerology. The beef, lamb and chicken burgers are a breath of fresh air.... hood grammage of pure beef, hand made, fresh meat from every day. All meat are sourced as HALAL. They have customisable options to cater for various other dietary options too. Fries are the bits that I dont generally write about as this is pure junk, but they were crisp, long and beautiful (tasty yummy too)! Pizza are using handmade dough and very light on eating. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a satisfying burger and pizza.

Found out my husband came here for lunch a few times and really loved the food so he decided we should try it out with the kids. We ordered 2 pizzas, 2 portions of lamb chops and a plate of chips.

The lamb chops arrived and were so soft and tasty not covered in spices like some places do.

Next to arrive was the pizzas. My daughter had a massive smile on her face when she found out it was all halal so she ordered a pepperoni one and ate 4 slices (she normally only eats 2)

The other pizzas was a cheese and tomato one. The cheese these guys use is something I haven't tasted before on other pizzas and his bases are nice too, not too floury or dry.

The garlic mayo now that was also very tasty but the best part besides the food is their milkshakes.

I ordered one for myself as the kids said they wanted fizzy (little treat) and yes I had it with the cream- so so yummy, these will be perfect when the weather is a bit warmer 😋

The owner Jamal is a lovely guy- we had the pleasure of meeting him

All in all a great place for lunch/dinner

Would I recommend? Definitely yes Would I return?...
