I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pasadero Lounge in Redhill, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. This cozy cafe offered a fantastic atmosphere, complemented by their excellent coffee and decent service. While there was a minor hiccup with the wait time despite five people behind the bar, it did not significantly detract from the overall experience. Without a doubt, I will be returning to Pasadero Lounge in the future.
Let's start with the coffee. As a self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast, I was thrilled to find that Pasadero Lounge delivered on their promise of serving good coffee. The aroma wafting through the air was tantalizing, and each sip was a burst of flavor. Whether you're a fan of a rich, robust espresso or a velvety smooth latte, their baristas truly know their craft. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and consistency of the coffee, which certainly added to the overall appeal of this establishment.
The atmosphere at Pasadero Lounge is simply delightful. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by warm lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful decor. The interior is stylishly adorned with a combination of contemporary and rustic elements, creating a welcoming and relaxed ambiance. It's the kind of place where you can unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a good book. Whether you prefer a cozy corner or a communal table, Pasadero Lounge provides an inviting space for all.
In terms of service, the staff at Pasadero Lounge were friendly and attentive. Although I did experience a slight delay in getting my order taken despite the presence of five people behind the bar, it was a minor issue that did not significantly impact my overall impression. Once my order was placed, the service was prompt, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations with a genuine smile. Their professionalism and eagerness to accommodate customer needs were evident throughout my visit.
Despite the minor wait time, I can confidently say that I will be coming back to Pasadero Lounge in the future. The combination of great coffee, a wonderful atmosphere, and decent service makes it a top choice for anyone seeking a cozy spot to relax or meet with friends. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or simply looking for a comfortable place to enjoy a beverage, Pasadero Lounge is definitely worth a visit.
In conclusion, Pasadero Lounge in Redhill has everything you'd want in a coffee shop: a fantastic cup of joe, an inviting atmosphere, and friendly service. While the slight delay in service was a minor issue, it did not overshadow the overall positive experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this charming haven to coffee lovers and anyone in search of a cozy spot to unwind. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit to...
Read moreWe've popped in here twice now and have been disappointed on both occasions.
Both times we've been in on a weekday lunch time, when the place hasn't been very busy, but on both occasions we were late back to our desks after lunch because the service is so slow! We can't understand why it takes so long to make simple lunch time food when there are so few people in the place. I see that other reviewers have had similar experiences so clearly we're not alone in waiting close to an hour for a sandwich at lunch time!
On our first visit, we entered by the left hand doors (which were open and unlocked). The young girl who greeted us seemed very upset that we'd used those doors and criticised us for it. We're not sure why, as there weren't any signs saying you couldn't, and it was a natural entry point off the high street. We saw other people use those doors during our visit. She then asked if we'd been in before, which we hadn't and she followed up by asking if we'd been to any branch in the UK at all, which we hadn't. Her response was so bizarre and, to be honest, made us feel really unwelcome before we'd even sat down: "oh, right, well most people who come in here have been to at least one of our lounges, that's so weird". She then explained to us that there's a QR code for ordering but told us that it doesn't work well and just wandered off and left us there. The whole situation was very odd!
Once we got it, the food was good, although in general we feel that the dishes are overpriced. We had to ask for cutlery as none was provided, and again for sauces to be brought to the table, no one ever came to check on us at any point.
We thought we'd just had a bad experience with service first time round, so tried again today, but had equally as strange and unfriendly service, again waiting ages for food. They guy serving didn't even look at us and when we mentioned part of our order was missing, he mumbled that he was going to get it in a sarcastic tone, as if we were causing an issue just being there.
It seems that the people working in here lack general communication skills and it's probably just as well that you have to go to the bar to order rather than ordering at the table.
We didn't find the place to be welcoming and we don't plan on returning.
Update: I've just found out that this place has a 2 star hygiene rating?! I'd never have eaten here...
Read moreCame here for lunch today with my partner. We were seated fairly swiftly by a nice lady and then told to order on the website or up at the bar... so you're paying mid tier restaurant pricing but getting the exact same service that you would get at a place like Wetherspoons - and then they have the cheek to ask for a tip... for what?! There was no service?!
My partner got a coffee which was okay, not the best, but passable. I got a pint of lemonade for £3.00, which wasn't even full up to the top. It tasted like the cheap 30p bottles of own brand lemonade. Very disappointed for the price.
We decided to order 2x lots of the 'tapas' small plates to share. We got;
meatballs; were okay but quite bland - I found myself seasoning most of the food here to be honest, not great for £5/plate!
Patatas bravas: they were good, hot but still needed salt.
Korean chicken wings: no idea what part of these wings were 'Korean'- maybe the fresh chilli? Not sure. Stale coating, not much flavour. Very poor quality wings for the price, Wetherspoons are better.
Arancini - I wasn't a fan of the overly sweet tomato flavour but my partner liked them.
Fries - hot and fresh, needed salt. Mayo was brought over in the bottle, I at least thought it would be in a pot? The ketchup was absolutely disgusting, cheapest of the cheap.
Chilli - gross. Not much flavour. Long, hair like strands of beef. Split cheese on top. Clearly microwaved.
Beef quesadilla - nice and cheesy. Nice sauce. Offensively expensive for 2 tiny little triangles of food!
Overall, the minuscule amount of service that we did get was good. I feel like this place is massively focused on providing quirky decor rather than great food, drinks and service, i sadly do not think this 'trend' will hold up for very long?! The food is extremely expensive for what it is, cheaply sourced low quality ingredients but priced extortionately! Drinks equally as expensive but low quality from what I experienced.
I will not be returning unfortunately - I would rather go to Wetherspoons for food in redhill (which I NEVER thought I'd be saying!). We were really excited for this place to open and hopefully bring a new lease of life to Redhill - I sadly am not so...
